Background: Errol is one of the premier voices covering all five daily daytime dramas, including "Beyond the Gates," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless." He began watching soaps in 1993, around the time Luke and Laura Spencer returned to “General Hospital,” but they weren’t what got him watching regularly. “It was Lucy Coe and her duck Sigmond,” he says of how he got started with soaps.

He received his BA from Baruch College, double-majoring in English Literature and Journalism, and double-minoring in Communications and Psychology. He also holds an AA in Business Administration.

On Tuesday, May 17, the ABC Television Network presented its 2011-2012 primetime schedule in front of advertisers, affiliates and the press. Two months earlier I received intel on a new series called “Once Upon a Time” that the network had in development where fairy tales and the modern-day collide in the town of Storybooke.

A few weeks back I reported on my personal Twitter page that two actors would be let go by summer’s end and it wouldn’t be by their own choosing despite how it would be presented by the show. The firing of Ingo Rademacher was not one of those people I alluded to. In an official statement released to ABC Soaps In Depth on their website, the actor said “After 15 years on ‘GH’ portraying Jax I must say goodbye. I’m fired.”

Long before ABC’s Upfront presentation got underway at around 3:45 PM on Tuesday, May 17, when invited guests began scuttling into the Avery Fisher Hall, the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) looked to take attention off of the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) by promoting its new fall programming with a rotation of more than a dozen Grayline and CitySearch NYC buses that were filled with wide open spaces or a lack of passengers in this case. While the seats may have been empty, no one could miss the colorful brand making its presence known while its competitor seeks a piece of the $9.2 billion pie during a crucial television season that lies ahead for the Disney/ABC Television Group. Insert the NBC peacock now featured on billboards in newly stylized glossy graphics.
