On the Monday, September 21, 2026, episode of “Beyond the Gates,” Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) and Madison (Kenjah) decided that Chelsea needed a pick-me-up, Andre (Sean Freeman) ran interference for Izaiah (Lami), and Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) finally got a witness to his health struggles.
Feenin
Hayley (Marquita Goings) and Caroline (Ellie Wang) continued their girl chat at the country club, where Caroline assured Hayley that Bill’s attentions to Dani were simply out of habit. Caroline gushed about how much she enjoyed reconnecting with Hayley, then excused herself to check in with the office. The moment Izaiah walked in, Hayley made straight for him and began flirting with him…which Andre, who also suddenly arrived, saw for himself.
Seeing the opening Andre was providing him, Izaiah beat a hasty retreat, leaving Andre to ask Hayley what Bill would think of her thirsting for Izaiah in public. Hayley tried to dismiss Andre’s statements, but he went on to tell her that Bill had texted Dani while they were away in Seoul, adding that if Hayley were a better wife to Bill, Bill wouldn’t keep hovering around Dani. Andre’s words left Hayley upset, which the returning Caroline saw.
Izaiah later ran into Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) at Orphey Gene’s and learned that Randy was an old friend of the McBrides. Randy was grateful that Izaiah had convinced Deanna to resume her education, which Doug would have wanted, going on to say that he owed Izaiah for making that happen.
Deep Fried Frenz
Randy reported to Joey at the casino; Joey (Jon Lindstrom) was irate that Randy had allowed Heather to buy Uptown right under their noses. Joey shocked Randy by announcing that he had been planning to acquire the nightspot for Vanessa, then ordered him to contact its former owner to look into Heather’s purchase, which Joey didn’t think was legitimate.
Heather (Ashley Jones) poked around her new establishment, with Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) coming through the front door. Though Vanessa tried to avoid getting into a conversation with Heather, she soon sat down with her and asked why Heather and Joey had been arguing. Heather claimed she had no idea why Joey didn’t trust her, writing his attitude off as sibling rivalry. Talk turned to how much Deanna and Donnell had loved Doug; when Joey walked in, Heather relished telling him that she and Vanessa were talking about Vanessa’s deceased husband.
Joey sent Heather away, which Vanessa thought was rude. “Not this again,” Vanessa sighed when Joey repeated his directive for her to stay away from Heather. But when Vanessa pressed and admitted that she envisioned Joey becoming close to his sister and spending holidays with her, Joey decided to leave, not wanting to continue that particular discussion.
Heather was excited when Andre texted to ask to see her; she could barely keep her hands off him when he got to her hotel room. Andre wanted to talk about their kiss and declared that he had gotten caught up in old feelings, reinforcing that he was a married man. Heather saw how shaken up Andre was and realized that he was afraid of her. She promised that she wouldn’t try to ruin Andre’s “manufactured” marriage – though she was positive that Andre would come back to her of his own accord because he wanted thrills, not domesticity.
I Feel Like Dying
Dani (Karla Mosley) was adamant that Bill leave her house – until Bill told her he thought he was dying. She didn’t believe him at first, but she relented when he revealed that he had just passed out again. Dani couldn’t understand why Bill was having seizures and blanking out; he described the salads and smoothies Hayley had been making for him, glad she was at least no longer making him drink her “awful herbal tea.”
Bill went on about how Hayley had him doing cardio despite not getting explicit doctor approval to do so – and just as he began talking about the $10 million life insurance policy he had taken out, naming Hayley as its sole beneficiary, he lost his balance and fell onto Dani’s couch, becoming nearly catatonic. Dani immediately called 911.
My Girl Wants To Party All The Time
Ted (Keith D. Robinson) saw Nicole at the hospital happily tapping away on her phone, assuming she was texting with Kial. Nicole told her ex that things were going well with her new relationship and asked about Ted’s, learning that “Dana” (Leslie) had made “a lasting impression” on Shanice’s brothers. Ted felt buoyed by Nicole’s prediction that Shanice’s family would come around, then asked about a new bracelet Nicole was wearing; Nicole acknowledged that it had come from Kial for “no special occasion.”
Once Ted returned to his clinic, Madison approached Nicole with her fears concerning Chelsea. Though Allison had been confirmed to still be behind bars, Madison said Chelsea had woken up screaming that morning and was unable to concentrate on her work, even with a new ChelseaKat purse about to launch. Nicole decided the best way to get Chelsea out of her head was to throw her a family-only party at her house celebrating the new product. Madison loved the idea, but had to cut the planning short to rush to the ER.
Busted
Nicole soon learned what had prompted Madison’s hasty exit when she saw Dani burst out of the elevator. Dani barely made sense talking about how Bill felt he was on death’s door — Bill was stabilized and wheeled to a room, with Dani begging Nicole not to lecture her about needing to be near him, as she couldn’t handle one at the moment. Nicole complained to Ted that Dani always seemed to be pulled back into Bill’s orbit just as she was on the verge of breaking free, but Ted reminded Nicole that Dani was entitled to her own choices.
Bill told Dani that the last thing he remembered was them talking at “our” house. Dani insisted that they let Hayley know her husband was hospitalized, but Bill didn’t want Hayley to again see him in a weakened state, afraid it would push her even further toward Randy. Dani texted Nicole, instructing her and Ted not to say anything to anyone – including Hayley and even Andre – about Bill being admitted again.
Madison came in to check Bill’s vitals just after Bill called Dani his “rock” and said he needed her. Dani left the room and thought back to Bill’s words about Hayley’s obsession with his diet, her pushing cardio on him, and the megabuck life insurance policy. “Hayley, you conniving bitch,” Dani finally said to herself. “You did this!”
