As previously reported, daytime veteran Greg Vaughan (“Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital”) is joining the cast of “Beyond the Gates.”
On Friday, the daytime drama series confirmed that the actor will portray the recurring role of Dr. Kial Rollins, a widower and father of two grown adult children, both male, and an orthopedic surgeon. He begins airing on Monday, December 8.
Kial (pronounced like Kyle) is athletic, personable, and spontaneous. After his wife died a few years ago, Kial became a traveling physician, allowing him to explore the country, experience different cultures, and meet interesting people. Kial has romanced women, but hasn’t met the one who could get him to settle down again – will a blind date change his mind? Kial’s game to find out.
The blind date appears to be with Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnée Duplaix), who is currently living the single life after learning her husband of many years, Dr. Ted Richardson (Ketih D. Robinson), had previously been unfaithful with Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant), which included his siring a child out of wedlock. Said child, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle), conspired with her mother to ruin Nicole’s life, only to learn the truth later.
