Earlier this month, ABC formally announced that cast members from “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless” are among the contestants set to appear during the upcoming 11th season of “Celebrity Family Feud,” the primetime game show hosted by Steve Harvey (“Family Feud”).
The news comes weeks after actors from both shows shared behind the scenes snaps on Instagram and other social media platforms following a taping last month in Atlanta.
Although a specific air date for the soap opera cast matchup has not been revealed, the primetime game show is scheduled to launch its new season on Thursday, July 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC with episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.
Soap stars participating include Finola Hughes, Donnell Turner, Rena Sofer, Tanisha Harper and Maurice Benard from “General Hospital”, and Joshua Morrow, Michelle Stafford, Lauralee Bell, Melissa Claire Egan and Bryton James from “The Young and the Restless.”

“We were definitely feuding,” joked Hughes during an appearance on “Live with Kelly and Mark” last month. “I was the captain! Well, that means that you go up first and I realized that the little buzzer was a little high. So, when everyone was sort of busy doing other things, I went over and I was practicing with the buzzer, so that I could be fast. But I was practicing at home with Sadie and Cash!” she added, referencing her daughter and son, who thought she would be awful at the game. “We don’t have a buzzer on our counter in the kitchen, every time I would do it, I kept going ‘Bzzz, bzzz!’ You know, and Cash was like, ‘You know you can’t do that when you come on the show?”
