Netflix released the first trailer for “Cowboy Bebop,” a space Western series that follows three bounty hunters, aka “cowboys,” all trying to outrun the past. As different as they are deadly, Spike Spiegel (John Cho), Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir), and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda) form a scrappy, snarky crew ready to hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals — for the right price. But they can only kick and quip their way out of so many scuffles before their pasts finally catch up with them.

“As The World Turns” and “Law & Order: SVU” alum Tamara Tunie appears in the show’s first episode as Ana, a confidant of Spike’s who he tells of a recent job as a bounty hunter where he was targeted and which forced him to change his name to Spike Spiegel. From the trailer and available credits, it’s unknown what name Spike went by prior to the change.

Based on the beloved anime series of the same name, the 10-episode first season will be released Tuesday, November 19 at 3:00 a.m. EST on the streaming service. Alex Hassell and Elena Satine also star.
