Kyle Abbott is about to face the consequences for his past actions when Tara Locke heads to Genoa City next month on “The Young and the Restless.”

Beginning Monday, March 1, actress Elizabeth Leiner will appear in the recurring role of Tara, who it was revealed earlier this month had an affair with Kyle (Michael Mealor) while he was in New York. It was further revealed that the two might have spawned a child together — a son named Harrison. At the time of the affair, Tara was married to a businessman named Ashland Locke.

In a shocking twist, news of Tara and Kyle’s past entanglement came to light following a recent visit to Kyle’s office by Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). Ironically, Kyle and his lady love Summer Newman (Hunter King) spent time in Los Angles last month digging up dirt on Sally that could be used against her. Now, Sally has done the same against Kyle with help from Theo who in December left Genoa City for Paris to run a fashion company.

Upon learning his secret was about to come out, Kyle came clean to Summer before anyone else had the opportunity. At this point, the only person left out of the loop is the ruthless Ashland Locke himself who after all this time has been led to believe that Harrison was his with Tara. Things could change once we learn Tara’s side of things in the weeks ahead.

Prior to her joining “Y&R,” Leiner has appeared in episodes of Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva” and “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.” She most recently appeared in the TV movies “Suburban Swingers Club” and “Nanny Killer.”

The role of Tara Locke was originally scheduled to be played by actress Rebekah Graf (“Walker,” “S.W.A.T.”) beginning Tuesday, February 23, but a change in actresses was required after a scheduling conflict. The airdate was pushed back due to CBS’ airing of the second impeachment of Former President Donald Trump.
