Ahead of his final appearance as Stefan DiMera on today’s episode of NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” actor Tyler Christopher took to social media to address the fans of the daytime drama series and to welcome former “General Hospital” co-star Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara) into the role.
“Thank you all for the kind farewells,” wrote Christopher on Twitter. “My time on ‘Days of our Lives’ was nothing short of pure fun. Such a great group of people to work for and be around every day. Please welcome Brandon Barash into the role. Such a solid actor and an even better person.”
“DAYS” head writer Ron Carlivati responded to Christopher’s tweet, saying, “Thank you Tyler for your always thoughtful and totally fearless portrayal of Stefan DiMera.” He added, “It was wonderful working with you this time around and I sincerely hope it’s not our last.”
Christopher won a Daytime Emmy Award for his portrayal of Nikolas Cassadine on “GH” in 2016.
Barash takes over the role of Stefan DiMera beginning Friday, March 22.
