Now that Michelle Stafford is heading back to “The Young and the Restless” as her beloved character Phyllis Summers that means her character on “General Hospital,” Nina Cassadine, is about to get a whole new face via a recasting or will be given a hasty exit from Port Charles. One way or another, Stafford’s good friend and “GH” scene partner James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine) will miss the Daytime Emmy Award winner. The actor took to social media to drive home a message to his now former co-star.
“I’ve never wanted so much to believe in “fake news,” wrote Stuart shortly after learning of Stafford’s leaving “GH” and returning to “Y&R.” Later, after digesting the news, Stuart shared a message he wrote in French for the actress on Instagram. It read, “Michelle, je t’adore. Merci d’avoir rendu ma vie et mon travail si magiques. Tu vas tellement me manquer.” Translated the message says, “Michelle, I adore you. Thank you for making my life and my work so magical. I will miss you so much.”
Stuart and Stafford have often shared snaps together on set and at events on their social pages, proving that their connection on screen transferred into a close friendship off-camera.
“It’s all fun and games…. Until you lose Michelle Stafford,” Stuart said after sharing one last photo of the two together from a photoshoot.
Considering the casting switcheroo broke over the weekend, it’s unlikely we’ll learn of Nina’s fate on “GH” any sooner than Monday. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Network for more on this developing story.
