‘GH’s’ Maurice Benard Plays Detective in ‘A Lover Betrayed,’ Also Stars Jamie Luner and Jason Brooks
After more than 20 years portraying a mobster on “General Hospital,” Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) is aligning himself with the law this time around in the Lifetime Movie Network original movie, “A Lover Betrayed.” Premiering Saturday, September 9 at 8:00 p.m. EDT/7:00 p.m. PDT, the TV movie features Benard as a detective tasked with helping a stalking victim prove her innocence after an ex-lover accuses her of the doing the same to him.
After portraying Jane’s latest love interest on “Jane the Virgin” during the spring portion of season three of the CW drama series, actor Francisco San Martin (ex-Dario Hernandez, “Days of our Lives”) is returning to daytime television courtesy of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful.
The wait is almost over! Steve Burton’s return date to “General Hospital” has finally been revealed in a promo from ABC.
Right along with the Horton family Christmas celebration, fans of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” can look forward to another tradition continuing. The network has announced that the annual “Day of DAYS” event will return to Universal CityWalk, located next to Universal Studios Hollywood, on Saturday, November 11.

Less than a month since Rome Flynn (Zende Forrester Dominguez) announced plans to depart the CBS daytime drama series, comes word that the soap will be losing another rising star. This time it’s Pierson Fodé (Thomas Forrester).
Disney Channel has renewed “Stuck in the Middle” for a third season, the network announced last week. The series, which features “General Hospital’s” Nicolas Bechtel in a bustling household of nine, is set to resume with all new episodes from season two beginning Friday, September 15 (8:30 p.m. EDT).
In addition to the American Red Cross, there are a number of other organizations that have pledged their time and resources to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. In their pledge to help, The CW has teamed up with the Texas Flood and Hurricane Relief to raise donations for victims of Hurricane Harvey. For every donation, 100% of every dollar raised will go to those affected.
CBS’ “The Talk” is set to kick off its eighth season — its first since season two without co-host Aisha Tyler — on Monday, September 11. So what should fans expect as the new season launches with just four co-hosts? “General Hospital” stars Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), and Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) were just some of the actors from the daytime drama series who took the time to answer calls from viewers all across America as part of Disney|ABC Television Group’s “Day of Giving,” which took place on Thursday, August 31, and continued well into Friday morning. In conjunction with the American Red Cross, the initiative has so far raised $14.3 million in aid that’ll help benefit those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
Beth Maitland is returning to Genoa City, “The Young and the Restless” announced last month. The actress, who joined the soap in 1984 as Traci Abbott, returns to town beginning Monday, October 9.
