As first reported by About.com, “Days of our Lives” actors Judi Evans (Adrienne Kiriakis) and Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis) have been taken off contract. The duo learned of the decision by producers on Monday, November 30, but it’s understood that at least Kurth will remain with the show in a recurring capacity.
“News sure travels fast these days. I just heard yesterday afternoon @ my Days status. Woke up and heard it again on Twitter. I’m still in Salem. Still the DA. Still working. The show is really good and I’m still having fun. Remember, it’s called show Business,” said Kurth on his Twitter page.
There’s no word yet on the status of Evans, who viewers know has not been seen much on screen over the last few months.
