With sudden word that Tristan Rogers would soon be departing ABC’s “General Hospital,” one could only imagine what may have been the catalyst behind the actor’s decision. Looks like a move [back] to “The Young and the Restless” may have persuaded the actor to say goodbye once more to Port Charles’ Robert Scorpio and hello again to Genoa City’s Colin Atkinson, Cane Ashby’s (Daniel Goddard) father. A spokesperson for the CBS drama series confirms to Soap Opera Network that the actor is returning to the soap in early 2014.

“We are excited that Tristan Rogers is returning to Y&R,” said the spokesperson. “The character of Colin Atkinson will be back in Genoa City in early 2014,” they added.

In a CBS Connect chat with fans on Tuesday, November 12, Jess Walton (Jill Foster Abbott) alluded that a big storyline was in store for her character, but wasn’t able to say exactly what said storyline entailed. “Oh, my god! Oh, my god…and I’m not lying!” said an excited Walton when a fan asked the question of upcoming story. She added, “I got one in particular [and] you’re going to die! You’re all going to die!” Could this have anything to do with Jill and Colin possibly being in each other’s orbits once more? You’ll have to tune in to find out in 2014!
