AMC Recap: Friday, June 17, 2011

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “All My Children” Episode Recap – Friday, June 17, 2011.

IT HAPPENED TODAY…

Marissa is not ready to go the next step with JR and admits she isn’t sure if she can trust him. JR jumps to conclusions and thinks it’s because she has feelings for Scott. Marissa is upset that he’s trying to make her feel bad for wanting to take things slow. She’s convinced he’s upset because this time he’s not in control. Scott tells Bianca that it would be a mistake for Marissa to take JR back and Bianca admits that Marissa will only go back to him if she’s sure it’s what she wants. Marissa tells Bianca about her date with JR and she can’t believe JR accused her of having feelings for Scott. She tells Bianca that she’s her best friend and wonders if it was her fault for being too cautious with JR.

David tells Jane that the life she’s living is not hers, its Erica’s, but Jane doesn’t want to hear it. She just wants to give David what he wants and be done with him. Jane postpones her conversation with Jackson when reporters and photographers show up and Jackson can’t help but be moved as he watches her. Jackson tells David he can’t hold the Kendall incident over Erica’s head forever and David says he’s not blackmailing Erica, but rather they’re becoming friends again. Erica tells Ben he could end up in prison for helping Jane do something that’s illegal. She says that she can help him but before the conversation can go further Jane shows up and says she needs Erica’s help.

Trumbull shows up to check on Tad and Cara and Tad says she’s working at the hospital and Trumbull asks if she’s working with Jake. Tad tells him how much he loves Cara. He later expresses a similar sentiment to a receptive Cara. Dixie, meanwhile, continues to stir in her sleep as she has Kathy related memories. Amanda tries to talk to Jake but he must go and take care of an emergency patient with Cara. Upset, she heads to the bar and gets a call about Jake being in isolation. David eavesdrops on her call and realizes Amanda’s worried about Jake and Cara being alone together. After getting a call from JR regarding meeting a client at the Yacht Club, Amanda heads on over to handle some business. She and JR toast her success and Amanda decides to stay over at the club and feels it’s Jake’s turn to worry about where she is for a change. Jake and Cara are released from isolation after having gotten the chance to honestly talk through some of their feelings.
