Various guest stars offer a helping hand to some of Pine Valley's most beleaguered.

After being unceremoniously let go from both ABC's "All My Children" and CBS's "As the World Turns," Cady McClain makes a return to the medium that has given her a year she'd probably rather forget. Starting on Friday, May 2, McClain will begin her forth stint at "AMC" for what is described as a "limited amount of time."

"Knight Rider," a series in which a hot, super intelligent talking-car (a Firebird TransAm named KITT voiced by William Daniels) and the aforementioned car's hunky human companion (David Hasselhoff's Michael Knight) saved the day week in and week out, aired on NBC from September 29, 1982 through August 8, 1986. This past February, NBC brought "Knight Rider" back as a back-door pilot under the disguise of a two-hour made-for-television movie. A back-door pilot is a television product, such as a television movie, pre-destined by the network heads to become a weekly series if it tests well with the audience.

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Elizabeth Rodriguez, sister of director Robert Rodriquez ("Desperado," "Spy Kids," "From Dusk Till Dawn"), has joined the cast of "All My Children." The actress has been cast in the contract role of Carmen "Sugar" Morales.

According to TV Guide Online, Emmy nominated actor Ricky Paull Goldin has joined the cast of “All My Children” in the contract role of Dr. Jake Martin and is said to begin airing in late April.
David Rasche is returning to daytime television later this month as Pine Valley's newest devil in disguise.
