WHAT DO YOU THINK? Comment Below...

I guess those who threatened to boycott Y&R over Delia’s death didn’t actually tune out. Kudos to the entire cast for the work on this storyline. When the actual events of that night are revealed it’s gonna be lights-out all over Genoa City.

I guess some people enjoy watching storylines about killing babies. Sad and pathetic that some people find it entertaining. But as they say when there is a train wreck you cannot help but watch I guess this proves that to be true

Kids have been dying on soaps and other shows for years and years. That child was born and plot point to provide drama and she’s providing more drama now than she did the past few years. It’s not like she added anything before.

  • Derrick

Congrats Y&R. Have a feeling it’s going to go up a bit more due to the funeral!

  • robert

Y&R has been really good lately.

  • Matt

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS experienced 2 year highs with an old, recycled storyline from another soap, GENERAL HOSPITAL. Pretty sad that Jill can’t come up with any originality for the soap and has to recycle GH storylines in order to save it.
Delia’s death is a straight, complete, clear copy of Jake’s death on GH from 2011, from top to bottom in characters, story, and dialogue. Clearest storyline copy in probably all of soap history.
GH hit a 2.4 household rating on Monday, pretty sure that’s a multi-year high. Fantastic that the show didn’t dip below a 2.0 once last week and hit 3.1 million viewers twice. Hoping GH can soon average 3 million a week! It’s possible as of right now if the show keeps hitting it twice or more a week.

I’d never heard of the sloppy GH story that she carried over to YR. But writers do it all the time, so no big surprise. And Matt, YR doesn’t need “saving”, it’s been the most watched soap since it dethroned GH (which was tragic at the time) back in 87/88. Phelps will hopefully be gone before long. She’s matching ratings from early 2012 when MAB was in charge, and six months later she was canned too.
I don’t watch GH and never will as it is more cartoon than actual dramatic soap, but Daytime has something for everyone. None of the shows are the same thankfully, but also in all honesty, none are really better than the others any more either.
Congrats to the fantastic YR cast. Job well done and well deserved.
Phelps, I got nothin’ for ya.

All soaps have copied each other and been doing this for years but I’m a loyal fan of YR but I’m not happy about the surge, it keeps JFP in place. I do agree with you on certain point about pretty much a carbon copy of the story. As on GH it wasn’t the performances as on YR because both soaps were have extraordinary actors but I hate stunts rather it be casting or nothing but plotted storylines for ratings, YR will pay the price down the road.

If GH had these ratings, the comments would be over the moon praising whatever & whomever, so I ignore most comments. Y&R CANNOT be beat, so accept it you all, or stop watching as many have threatened to do. And as far as people dying, getting killed, & other violence, just look at the weekly cinema top 5 for the most part are, that is what it is, & it is sad to say, most people enjoy this.
