WHAT DO YOU THINK? Comment Below...
  • Matt

Im sorry but I REALLY do think these are not the right ratings. This shows GH only doing a 1.8 household on Monday the 10th, when every other soap and rating website has GH listed with a 2.5 household on Monday and by averaging a 2.3 the whole entire week. ??? If anyone knows why, please reply.

    • TiredSoapFan

Because those were the weighted metered ratings and did not include all the markets. Many tried to warn people about believing them as they might go down. But even the sites who knew better still posted them as the final rating.

    • TiredSoapFan

There are 100 or more total markets out there. The weighted metered ratings that were posted were only for 56 markets.

  • Dayz

What do you know…Days steadily declining. You’d think they would see the light. But we all know where their heads are, right?

    • lisa

moreover they film something like 3 months in advance..they are doomed ! Ploof !

  • sean

Me too!! Where’s the real ratings for last week?

    • TiredSoapFan

These are the real ratings. The ones that were posted by Berman and Daytime Confidential were not the full ratings. People tried to warn people not to get their hopes up and tried to warn those sites not to get people’s hopes up. But no one listened. Those ratings were for only part of the Country and not for the whole country.

  • MK

There are actually 210 metered markets. The 56 overnight ratings markets are the biggest ones in the country and command most of the advertising dollars.

DAYS lost 161,000 in a week. LOL Good job!

  • Tami

I think the 2.4 ratings are for the 17th not these ratings

    • TiredSoapFan

No these are the ones that Berman and DC said last week that GH got a 2.5 on Monday — the first day of the new timeslot — and got a 2.3 for the week. The week of the 17th they have reported that GH once again averaged a 2.3. But all the numbers are based on the 56 metered markets and not all 210 markets that are out there. So even that 2.3 reported for the week of the 17th most likely won’t be right either.

It wasn’t that Berman or DC lied — it is just that they did not convey the whole truth in their reports. It was very irresponsible reporting on their behalves. And they both should be ashamed. They should have stressed to their readers that the numbers could and probably would change. But they didn’t. They insisted the numbers were the real ratings. Even when questioned.

Days is terrible. I can’t believe they are going back into the Sami EJ Rafe triangle. I haven’t seen an episode since I heard about it. Re-hash and boring. We’ve seen it it wasn’t great the first time why go back to it?

    • lisa

the worst is to see Sami again as a wicked damsel in distress who has to be ‘saved’ by ‘hero’ Rafe from big bad Ej..boring, been there done that, at least with the last writers she was spunky and more independent again with a JOB ! sigh..

  • dawn

Wow, wake up Days!!! Your viewers are telling you what they want to see and you refuse to listen. Want better ratings? Give us back Ej and Sami!!!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/vicki.burtlow Vicki Burtlow

Days is boring again. Not surprised of The Young and The Restless fall, as the final weeks of the Maria Arena Bell era is airing. Can’t wait to see the new regime’s episodes.

  • HatDays

That’s what Days gets for doing EJ and Sami. Yuck.

    • lisa

Actually since the ratings take a low it is Rafe and Sami !
When there was a small chance for a real Ej and Sami romance ratings were UP !

  • Joe

They just want to take our shows off completely and this is an excuse … the shows are all great these days …. Save Our Soaps ..

    • TiredSoapFan

What excuse are you talking about? Bad ratings is an excuse? It sure has been used a lot — even gets many prime time shows cancelled every year. Even a show on NBC that was able to garner over 7 million total viewers but couldn’t make it with the 18-49 audience.

Maybe if the writers and producers would give fans something to watch that they want to watch people would tune in and watch. But with such hacks behind the scenes these days I don’t see that happening.

Last week was probably one of the most promoted and hyped weeks by ABC for General Hospital in a long time and they couldn’t even pull but a 1.9 and dropped in so many categories. And it was in the midst of a big stunt story that had a big location shoot and they get a 1.8 and a 1.9 for the climax.

  • Missy7801

This viewer speaks for herself, you go Days keep doing what you are doing you rock.thanks the true dedicated fan for 21 years who would never say you suck, never stop watching you because of changes and the firing of your stars ect.

  • Taylyn

Hopefully #Days will be better with the M/J/K storyline coming up

  • Fox

I believe Days and GH are now competing against each other for live viewers in most Central and Pacific time zone markets.
