( — "The Young and the Restless" Episode Recap – Tuesday, July 26, 2011.

Adam floors Sharon when he rejected marrying her. When she asks for an explanation, he telsl her that while he was doing everything to prove her innocence, she was in New Mexico turning to another man for comfort. Sharon blinks back tears as he tells her she betrayed him and is geting what she deserves for that betrayal. Adam stalked out of the jail, leaving Sharon devastated.

Standing in the office of Restless Style, Diane seethed as she watched Nick and Phyllis getting hot and heavy on the desk. In an instant fit of rage, Diane tears Phyllis off of Nick, pushing her to the floor. Phyllis gathered her bearings and lit into Diane for her crazy outburts, demanding to know why she's even at their job. A shirtless Nick tried his best to get Diane to calm down, but she lashed out that she was disgusted at the sight of them. As a way to get even, she lets Phyllis in on how she and Nick also had sex weeks before. Nick had no choice but to admit it was true. After more squabbling, Diane huffed off and Nick quickly followed. While she did that, Phyllis whipped out her cell phone to make a phone call.

At the Abbott home, Victoria, who was there with Michael, met with Abby to discuss on how to have Beauty of Nature work along side with The Naked Heiress. Abby is stoked about the idea, however, Michael, warned both women that their doing this wouldn't be in the best interest; especially if Victor wasn't made aware of it. Unfortunately for Michael, his words of advice fell on deaf ears, as both Abby and Victoria thought of how to work together.

Chloe went to see Kevin at Crimson Lights, where he and she discussed their date for the evening. The topic comes up about Billy and Delia. Chloe tells Kevin that with the way Billy has been acting and behaving, she's glad on the supervised visits. Meawhile, Billy, who is at the park, is calling in some bets when Delia wanders near him. Calling out to him, Billy is happy to see his daughter, scooping her up into his arms.

Phyllis called Michael. Not interested in talking to her, he assumed she called to discuss Daisy and Lucy. She cut him off to inform him that his friend, Diane came to the office and attacked her. She told him that there were consequences for such behavior and Michael quipped on the irony on her comment about someone else. Phyllis said that if he didn't help, she'd find someone else who would help put Diane in her place.

Nick follows Diane, wanting to know what she was doing at Restless Style to begin with. He tells her that it is over between them and that she needs to move on and stop coming by him. She lashes out how she hates him. As the two are exchanging words, Adam, who has come in, and watches the two of them from a distance, clearly ready to press Diane to up their plan. The minute Nick has left, Adam corners Diane at a table. Doing their usual plotting, Diane got jumpy when she saw Michael walk into the restaurant. Hurrying Adam away, Diane tried her best to leave but was stopped. Michael asked her to sit down with him. He handed her a restraining order, courtesy of Phyllis.

Chloe received a call from her friend who has Delia at alittle play function. When she asked how she was doing, her friend informed her about how Delia wandered off and was with Billy. Both Kevin and Chloe head over to the park. He promptly took her back to the party, while Chloe took Billy to task for being with their daughter unsupervised. He scoffed at her attitude and they were soon approached by Abby and Victoria, who spotted them. Victoria stood up for Billy. Finished with Billy, Chloe left, followed shortly after by Abby. Billy and Victoria were alone together and he told her that he didn't need her to stand up for him any longer.

Nick returned back to the magazine, where he tried to comfort and upset Phyllis. Phyllis told Nick that if Diane pulled anything else with her, she would take her out.

Sharon tried to call D.A. Walsh but it was too late. The guard was arriving to come take her to the van to transport her to the state pen. When she got there, it finally hit her that she would be there for 30 years. As she sat with her head down, she received a visitor: Victor Newman.

The man with Todd’s original face has spent the night at John’s. Looking for answers, John takes a DNA sample, warns him to stay put, then leaves to have it analyzed. Roxy nearly discovers him. The man with Todd’s original face listens to an incoming message for John from Tomas who wants to talk about Todd Manning. Defying John’s orders, he answers the phone in John’s voice.

Knowing Téa’s searching for the truth, Todd admits he’s been involved in some dangerous business dealings but assures her that’s all over and, as he believes, the person who kidnapped Sam is dead. Todd and Téa end up making love. Afterward, Todd goes to his office and discovers John McBain, who has covertly obtained a sample of Todd’s DNA.

Tomas tells Blair the story he told Téa about his involvement with the CIA. Blair appreciates his opening up and agrees to go to David’s movie premiere with him.

Rex demands that Clint tell Dorian to drop the charges against Echo or he’ll bring charges against her for leaving him to die. Clint agrees but is troubled by Rex’s coldness. Rex later sees Blair and Téa blithely having their hair done and grows even darker. Dorian receives a call for Clint warning her to back off Echo or face prosecution herself. Dorian later tells David she was forced to drop the charges against Echo and though both Dorian and David are disappointed that Echo won’t pay for her crime, they focus on the impending movie premiere and look forward to a great night.

Knowing Clint’s approaching release from the hospital also spells his approaching incarceration, Viki intends to forego the movie premiere and spend the evening by Clint’s side.

Brody asks what Vimal intends to do with his knowledge that John is Liam’s father. Vimal ultimately agrees to keep Brody’s secret. Rama takes a job as a manicurist at Foxy Roxy’s and runs into Cristian, who has cooled off after their last encounter and is willing to take another stab at friendship. When Mrs. Patel comes in to get her nails done, Rama hides and hears her talking about her pregnant daughter-in-law. On “One Life to Live” Shenell Edmonds plays Destiny Evans, a teenager who is seventeen and pregnant. That alone would be enough to scare the average teenager. But it is even worse for Destiny, considering she is estranged from her grandparents, her father is in jail, and her boyfriend recovering from severe brain injuries in a special treatment center hours away. Next month, the frightened young mother-to-be weighs her options, and has her world turned upside down yet again, thanks to forces (and people) beyond her control.

On Monday, August 8, Tonye Patano reprises her role as Destiny’s grandmother Phylicia Evans when the troubled teen confides in her and asks for her help with the matter after receiving some important information from Dr. Vivian Wright (Kearran Giovanni). Meanwhile, Matthew (Eddie Alderson) receives a special visit from his big brother David (Tuc Watkins), and the two share a little bonding time. (In June, both Patano and her onscreen husband Frankie Faison, who plays Richard Evans, were spotted leaving the studio after taping scenes).

For a time all seems well, however, what will happen when Bo (Robert S. Woods) and Nora (Hillary B. Smith) learn about their their son’s girlfriend’s little bundle of joy and how will their reaction to the news affect the relationship between their two families? And just how will big brother (er, uncle) Shaun (Sean Ringgold) handle the news of little Destiny’s pregnancy? Be sure to tune in next month to find out! It’s an event you won’t want to miss…

          In other news…

Check out these photos of Andrew Trischitta (Jack) with some of his co-stars from Trevor St. John‘s (Todd) last day on the set last Friday. The shots include one of Trischitta and St. John, as well as this one of his onscreen sister Kelley Missal (Dani), and another one of them in a different pose.

          Soap Opera Network

( — Honestly, the title sounds more interesting than what is actually happening. Later this evening, Soap Opera Network will be migrating to a new service provider that promises better and faster service than we’ve ever received in the (almost) 10 years we’ve been online. What that means is that we will not be posting new content on the site, including our message boards, after 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT. The transition should be short and quick without any real interruption in service. In fact, everything will be so fast that we do not expect any issues with propagation (if you are wondering what that means, see below).

The process whereby the name servers throughout the world have updated their records for a specific domain. For example, if you move your domain from one host to another, it will take around 24 hours or so for the new address to broadcast everywhere. During that 24 hour period, the traffic is decreasing at the old location and increasing at the new location.

Additionally, beginning tomorrow we will be launching our new website on our faster server and will begin loading the content that had been previously promised, but hadn’t been seen. We apologise for not having it up when necessary, but things happen and all you can do is roll with the punches as they say.

          Exciting times ahead!

( — Llanview loses a Todd, Dorian moves on to a higher calling, Kelly makes her next move, and other casting changes for the month of August.

As we previously reported, Trevor St. John (Todd) revealed on his website in June that he would be leaving “One Life to Live” when his current contract ends this summer. We now know his final tape date, which, according to Soap Opera Digest was last Friday (July 22). SOD also reports that St. John treated his fellow cast and crew mates to a catered breakfast, lunch, and snacks on set, and his onscreen daughter Kristen Alderson (Starr) tweeted that she had received “Gorgeous ‘thank you’ flowers from Trevor St. John… Going to MISS him around the studio. Love, love, love him.” Just a few days earlier she also commented that “Trevor made us laugh, laugh, & laugh today!”

According to reports “OLTL” has ripped a page from the headlines to help give Robin Strasser (Dorian) a proper sendoff. Apparently, Mayor Lord will be receiving an offer too good to pass up in the coming weeks when she is called to serve as a Senator after her predecessor is ousted as a result of a scandal that is eerily similar to that of real-life former Congressman Anthony Weiner of New York. Strasser, who last airs on Thursday, August 25, is reportedly leaving “One Life” as a result of back problems.

August also marks a new chapter in the life of another Cramer girl as Dorian’s niece Kelly (Gina Tognoni), who just recently reunited with her old beau Joey Buchanan (Tom Degnan), makes a decision about her future on Wednesday, August 17.

And, just because James (Nic Robuck) hasn’t been seen lately, don’t look for him to be leaving Llanview anytime soon. In fact, look for he and Starr to grow closer in the coming weeks.

          In other news…

Meena Nerurkar and Harsh Nayyar play Vimal’s  (Nick Choksi) parents from India.

Helmar Augustus Cooper portrayed Louie, the man who pulled the man with the scar (Roger Howarth) out of the Llantano River last Friday.

Austin Peck is still taping scenes as the sleazy porn producer Rick Powers.

Carlos Gonzalez appeared again as Officer Garcia back on Tuesday, July 19.

Look for some courtroom scenes coming up next month as Clint (Jerry verDorn) prepares to face the music for the crimes he recently confessed to. The scenes will also feature a dayplayer judge and Clint’s attorney, however, it is unclear at this time if the Buchanan patriarch hires Morgan Guthrie (Tom Zeman) to represent him, or if he gets someone else.

Kristen Alderson tweeted this picture of herself in her Starr clothes as she prepared to tape scenes on July 19 along with the tweet “All dressed and ready for Llanview! Have a great day everyone!” Later she commented that it was “Nap Time in Llanview. So Cozy..” So keep a watch out in the coming week’s for Starr’s green dress.

Is Barret Helms (Baz) not long for Llanview? Last Saturday he tweeted a fan that “It’s gonna be a while til I work again.” And on June 21 he tweeted that he had “Just finished one of the craziest 13 week periods of my life!!” It should be noted that Helms was cast on April 14, the day ABC cancelled “One Life to Live” and “All My Children.”

David A. Gregory (Ford) has also been MIA from the studios lately. The actor commented on Facebook on July 17 that “I haven’t been in to the studio this month. Going back in soon.”

Check out these adorable pictures of Andrew Trischitta (Jack) hanging out at the “OLTL” studios last week with his onscreen little brother Patrick Gibbons, Jr. (Sam). And here’s a picture of the plaque outside Trischitta’s dressing room which also lists his “roommates” Eddie Alderson (Matthew) and David A. Gregory.

And “OLTL’s” Music Director Paul S. Glass, responds to a question from a fan asking about the name of the song played in the closing montage of the June 11, 2008 episode (where Adriana left Rex for Paris), by tweeting that it was “CARMEN RIZZO ‘Next Life,’ featuring Thomas Hanreich.”
