If a dose of “The Young and the Restless’” Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla Winters) is just what you’ve been craving this holiday season, then get ready for your wish to come true! The former daytime star will be appearing in an upcoming original UP film titled “Marry Me for Christmas.”

“We’re going to bring you fresh faces, other faces, familiar faces…primetime, daytime, film stars…you’re gonna be so excited! I’m bringing you bubblicious, soapalicous, down and dirty, evil dressing room dalliances, sexy, steamy…wow, I lost myself there,” says Victoria Rowell enthusiastically and physically to viewers in a promo highlighting her Kickstarter campaign to help fund “The Rich and the Ruthless,” a primetime pilot she hopes will placate fans of “The Young and the Restless,” who for a number of years have been clamoring for her to return as Drucilla Winters. The potential series follows Rowell’s success with her books “Secrets of a Soap Opera Diva,” and “The Young and the Ruthless: Back in the Bubbles,” which was released earlier this year.

As surprising as it was to hear that “The Young and the Restless’” Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) absolutely loves everything about weddings (which you can read more about here), it was equally surprising when his onscreen partner, Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) admitted that, in opposition to Goddard’s romantic view on the soap staple events, she really can’t stand them! And that’s just one of the things the candid actress revealed when Soap Opera Network recently caught up with her for a revealing chat.

When it comes to titles, “The Young and Restless’” Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) is no stranger. He’s been called a heartthrob, an Emmy nominee, an Emmy winner, and even the “Denzel of Daytime.” The latter of which actually makes the New York native kind of blush! “That’s just a moniker for having staying power and lasting power in this medium,” he says with modesty of the Denzel Washington comparison. “I’m one of the longest running African American males on daytime, so I think that statement is more in honor of that.”

“RIP Jeanne Cooper (1911-2013) Dead,” read an inappropriate tweet by tweeter @BravoMaxine, which was tweeted to twitter accounts @ebraeden @melodythomassco @victoriarowell. The tweet received a response from Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla Winters, “The Young and the Restless”) who said, “A special lady & great Native American actress.” Thankfully, we can report that Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor, “The Young and the Restless”), who was actually born in 1928, is very much alive as stated by Eric Braeden (Victor Newman, “Y&R”), “Contrary to some statement, Jeanne Cooper is doing better and sitting with her daughter Caren by her bedside!!”

Victoria Rowell, author of “The Women Who Raised Me: A Memoir” and “Secrets of a Soap Opera Diva,” is back for an all-new release entitled “The Young and the Ruthless,” which is scheduled for release on Tuesday, March 5.
