The network has announced that the annual "Day of DAYS" event will return to Universal CityWalk, located next to Universal Studios Hollywood, on Saturday, November 11.
As previously reported, cast members of NBC's "Days of our Lives" will once again take part in a special "Day of DAYS" fan event scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 8 at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood. This year the celebration takes place on the actual 49th anniversary of the daytime drama series, making it all the more special for fans looking to see their favorite Salemites in person. As always, the event is free and will begin at 10:00 AM with a “Day of DAYS” welcome party with cast introductions, followed by autograph signings, a cast Q&A session, photo booth fun for fans and much more. The day will culminate with a preview of an upcoming episode of the drama series immediately following the cast Q&A.
On Saturday, November 8, fans in and around the Los Angeles area will be able to meet and greet their favorite Salemites as they are all scheduled to appear at Universal CityWalk at Universal Studios Hollywood for the annual "A Day of DAYS" fan event celebrating NBC's "Days of our Lives." The news was posted on the show's Facebook page.
In the coming weeks a storyline involving the characters of Nick Fallon and Gabi Hernandez gets physically violent and rumors are now swirling about the possibility that as a result of the storyline, Nick's portrayer, Blake Berris, may be leaving the "Days of our Lives" canvas.
Drake Hogestyn is not only returning to NBC's "Days of our Lives" in the early part of the new year as his iconic character, John Black, he's also returning to contract status with the daytime drama series. The actor confirmed his new status with the soap to Soap Opera Network during today's "A Day of Days" fan event at Universal CityWalk Hollywood.
During today's "A Day of Days" fan event at Universal CityWalk Hollywood, actor Freddie Smith shared with Soap Opera Network that Guy Wilson will replace Chandler Massey in the role of Will Horton beginning in January 2014. The actor noted that viewers will see Chandler one day and the next day they'll see Guy (ie. Will is not leaving town only to return played by a new actor).
Today marks the 48th anniversary of "Days of our Lives" and the cast will celebrate with their biggest fans via social media beginning no earlier than 1:00 PM ET/10:00 AM PT as they share some onset photos, videos and more as well as answer some of your questions when using hashtag #AskDAYS on Twitter (make sure to follow @NBCDays @DaysofourLives to keep up with the latest). The festivities are expected to last no later than 6:00 PM ET/3:00 PM PT.
For the past couple of years NBC's "Days of our Lives" has been holding its "A Day of Days" fan event at Universal Studios CityWalk, where fans of the drama series could meet and great some of their favorite stars and get signed autographs. Unfortunately, this year the network has decided not to continue that event, and instead opted to branch it out a little bit (similar to how ABC canceled Super Soap Weekend, which turned into the Soap Nation Tour). Earlier this year, in a posting on the soaps operas Facebook page, the network said, "Ask and you shall receive! NBC has heard your requests and we are taking our yearly fan event on the road! Instead of holding our event at Universal City in California, members of the 'Days of our Lives' cast will be traveling to a few cities around the country. Dates and cities to be announced soon!" That "soon" is now.
It was March of this year that word broke out that "Days of our Lives" was planning to have a major character come out of the closet. Almost immediately after the news broke out reports were flying that Will Horton, portrayed by Chandler Massey, would be the one to come out. Eight months since the news first leaked, the NBC Daytime soap has finally revealed that Will will in fact come to the realization that he is gay, but what does Massey think about portraying such a character and how has he managed to keep it such a secret for so long?
