THE BREAKDOWN

As revealed in the fall/winter preview clip shown during the annual “Day of DAYS” fan event on Saturday, old flames still burn on “Days of our Lives” when scandals, surprises, blackmail, crime, pawns, danger and murder heat things up on the daytime drama series.

In the clip, several familiar faces appear again, including Bryan Dattilo as Lucas, James Read as Clyde, and even Blake Berris, who is returning to the show as a supposed new character named Everett, who not only has a history with Stephanie (Abigail Klein) but is the ex-husband of  Jada (Elia Cantu). Berris previously portrayed the role of Nick Fallon on the soap opera off and on from 2006-2014 and standalone appearances in 2021 and 2023, respectively.

The clip also shows Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) seemingly getting their happily ever after with marriage and a baby on the horizon, but a car accident breaks things apart when Nicole goes into labor on the side of the road with Leo (Greg Rikaart) left to help deliver the baby. Sadly, things don’t go as planned when the child is taken from Nicole and given to Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) to pass off as hers so she can raise a family with Eric (Greg Vaughan) while leaving Nicole to believe that hers and EJ’s child had died.

Also shown are Ava (Tamara Braun) and Harris (Steve Burton) furthering their relationship, although later in the clip, we see Harris lying on the ground with a gunshot wound as a distraught Ava tries to help out. Further, Leo opts to blackmail Sloan over what he knows about her recent acquisition, Gabi (Camila Banus) is shown with a bloody knife in her hand that appears to have been pulled from the back of Li (Remington Hoffman) as Stefan (Brandon Barash) walks in and a scared Gabi says, “He’s dead!” Speaking of Stefan, he shows his true DiMera colors to Paulina (Jackée Harry) when he threatens her when proclaiming she’s making a mistake.
