Nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Michael Baldwin on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” for the fifth time, Christian Jules Le Blanc, a native of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, goes into tonight’s ceremony with a career total of nine nominations under his belt (the aforementioned five for lead actor and four for supporting actor) with three wins in 2005, 2007 and 2009 in the lead category.
In 2013, “Days of our Lives'” Chandler Massey (ex-Will Horton), “General Hospital’s” Bryan Craig (Morgan Corinthos) and Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos) and “The Young and the Restless'” Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin) and Daniel Polo (ex-Jamie Vernon) proved they were the outstanding younger gentlemen for their respective daytime dramas. They now compete with each other to find out which of them was the most Outstanding Younger Actor in a Daytime Drama Series during “The 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.”
While many other Daytime Emmy nominees might celebrate being honored with a special dinner or something of the like, “The Young and the Restless’” Hunter King (Summer Newman) celebrated in a much different way: By going to math class!
Today, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences officially announced the nominees of the 41st annual Daytime Emmy Awards! The list of pre-noms in the categories for Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor and Actress, Supporting Actor and Actress, Younger Actor and Actress and more was whittled down to just a few final contenders who will compete for the coveted National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Emmy award statuettes during the event that will be taking place on Sunday, June 22. When we caught up with “The Young and the Restless’” Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin) on the day he found out he’s been nominated as an Outstanding Younger Actor for this year’s Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, he was slightly in a daze. “I’ve been in daydream all day,” he admitted. “I feel like I was hit by an electrical current.”
