Once again proving that its at the top of the heap when it comes to daytime, CBS swept the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy awards with 13 drama related wins, leading all networks. “The Young and the Restless” took home a combined total of nine wins during the Creative Arts Emmy Awards and the Emmy Awards, while “The Bold and the Beautiful” managed to snag four. NBC’s “Days of our Lives” took home three Emmy awards, while ABC’s “General Hospital” garnered two. Meanwhile, Toln.com’s “All My Children” won three awards, while “One Life to Live” took home three, as well.

Last night, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences officially announced the winners of the 41st annual Daytime Emmy Awards in a star-studded gala at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles. Senior Vice President of CBS Daytime, Angelica McDaniel, took to Twitter today to announce that the network’s number one soap opera, “The Young and the Restless,” has made a behind-the-scenes change: The show’s publicist, Jimmy Freeman, has stepped into the role of Associate Producer!

After appearing on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” for the past couple of years in a somewhat recurring capacity, actress Eileen Davidson has signed a contract with the Sony Pictures Television produced soap, which guarantees fans will be seeing a lot more of Ashley Abbott on a more consistent basis.

Starting today, June 16 and running through Friday, June 27, viewers of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” can win an exclusive tour of key landmarks where the daytime drama has shot on location in Southern California, plus the opportunity to mingle with cast members at a special luncheon.

Ratings Report for the Week of June 2-6, 2014

When word had it that Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery, “All My Children”) had been spotted on the set of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” in late April, the rumor mill immediately lit up with speculation that the actor had secretly met with show producers and had signed on to portray the contract role of Adam Newman (previously portrayed by Michael Muhney). Earlier today, Mathison took to Twitter to clear up said rumors while visiting Israel for a friend’s wedding.

On Monday, June 16, Michael Saucedo returns to ABC’s “General Hospital” as Juan Santiago, who is back in Port Charles to support his cousin, Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo), during her hour of need. You’ll recall that Sabrina’s baby with Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson), Gabriel Drake Santiago, died last week following the hit -and-run car accident that forced the early delivery of the child in late April.
