“Passions” alum Jade Harlow (Jessica Bennett) is returning to daytime in the recurring role of Marie Kirkland on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless,” the daytime drama series announced on Thursday.
According to a synopsis, Marie is someone with a complicated past looking to make a fresh start in Genoa City when the “Days of our Lives” and “The Bay” alum joins the cast of the long-running drama series, beginning Monday, August 10.
Since making her daytime debut in 2000 on “Passions,” Harlow has gone on to win three Daytime Emmy Awards for her work on “The Bay,” where she portrayed Lianna Ramos from 2010-2020, winning her first two awards as a producer on the series, which won Outstanding New Approaches – Drama Series in 2015 and Outstanding Digital Daytime Drama Series in 2016. Her most recent win came in 2020 when she was awarded Outstanding Lead Actress in a Daytime Fiction Program.
Among her numerous credits, Harlow had a role on “Days of our Lives,” playing Sheryl Connors for a handful of episodes in 2014, followed by a role as Monica Reynolds on the popular web series “Youthful Daze.” Her primetime credits include “Zoo,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “FBI: International,” and most recently, “Criminal Minds: Evolution,” among others. She also starred in the drama “Second Chances” for USATV (not to be confused with USA Network), which has also featured the likes of Denise Richards (“The Bold and the Beautiful”), AnnaLynne McCord (“Days of ur Lives”), and Erik Fellows (“The Bay”), among others.
Harlow will next appear in the movie “Love is in Bel Air,” which stars Joey Lawrence and his brother Andrew Lawrence, and features another alum of “The Bay,” Vincent De Paul.
No other details about Harlow’s character on “The Young and the Restless” were announced at press time.
