Need To Know

  • “Beyond the Gates” retained 100% of its crossover-infused demo audience and was down a meager 10,000 viewers week-to-week.
  • “General Hospital” continues to excel on Hulu, and was up among Women 25-54.
  • “NBC News Daily” records a series high among Women 18-49, topping soap operas “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Beyond the Gates” and “General Hospital.”

After receiving a noticeable bump one week earlier with characters from “The Young and the Restless” crossing over to the DMV on “Beyond the Gates,” TV’s newest scripted daytime drama managed to retain all of its crossover audience gain in the key demos, and a minimal drop among Total Viewers during the week of June 15-19, 2026. Meanwhile, “NBC News Daily” topped three of the network soaps for the first time ever in Women 18-49, and “Let’s Make a Deal” concluded Season 17 with its final original broadcast.

Beyond the Gates Ratings

Retaining 100% of its week-ago “The Young and the Restless” crossover-infused demographic performance among Women 18-49 (0.19 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.29 rating), with 1.786 million viewers tuning in, “Beyond the Gates” attracted its third-largest audience of the season, down a meager 10,000 viewers week-to-week (1.796 million vs. 1.786 million), while gaining a staggering +316,000 viewers compared to the same week last year (1.786 million vs. 1.470 million), the largest year-over-year gain for the soap opera to date. The series was also on par with its year-ago performance in both Women 18-49 (0.19 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.29 rating), topping its time slot competitor, “General Hospital,” in the former (0.19 rating vs. 0.17 rating) and the latter (0.29 rating vs. 0.25 rating).

“Beyond the Gates” has now seen year-over-year gains for 15 consecutive weeks  (since week of March 9-13, 2026), and continues to outperform former time-slot occupant “The Talk” among Total Viewers, this time up +397,000 over the former talk show’s performance in 2022, +590,000 over 2021, and up +480,000 over 2020.

Note: “The Talk” aired repeats during the comparable week in 2023 due to the ongoing writers’ strike, and in 2024, had already concluded season 14 by airing repeats until it kicked off its 15th and final season in the fall of that year.

NBC News Daily Ratings*

“NBC News Daily” set a new series high among Women 18-49 (0.23 rating) and marked its best performance among Women 25-54 (0.29 rating) since the week of January 15-19, 2024 (0.29 rating vs. 0.31 rating), though it comes with an asterisk as the program excluded its Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19 telecast from its weekly and season averages.

In Women 18-49, the news program marked NBC’s best performance with regular programming since the network’s final broadcast week of “Days of our Lives” during the week of September 5-9, 2022 (0.23 rating vs. 0.24 rating) and topped three of the four network soap operas for the first time ever in the demographic, tied the second half-hour of “Let’s Make a Deal” and was just below “The Young and the Restless” (0.23 rating vs. 0.24 rating).

Among Total Viewers, with 1.544 million viewers tuning in, “NBC News Daily” attracted its fourth-largest audience of the season and its best overall in 19 weeks (since the week of February 2-6, 2026), and marked its best performance among Households (1.0 rating) in 16 weeks (since the week of February 23-27, 2026). Compared to the same week last year, the program was up a whopping +405,000 viewers (1.544 million vs. 1.139 million).

The Young and the Restless Ratings

“The Young and the Restless” was up +0.01 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.24 rating vs. 0.23 rating), and up +8,000 viewers compared to the same week last year (3.070 million vs. 3.062 million), marking its 21st consecutive week averaging more than three million viewers, a streak that began with the week of January 26-30, 2026.

The Bold and the Beautiful Ratings

While it was down in both key demographics, “The Bold and the Beautiful” was up +100,000 viewers week-to-week (2.838 million vs. 2.738 million), and gained +294,000 viewers compared to the same week last year (2.838 million vs. 2.544 million) and was up +0.1 both week-to-week and year-over-year among Households (1.8 rating vs. 1.7 rating). Compared to the same week in 2024, the half-hour drama series was up +164,000 viewers (2.838 million vs. 2.674 million).

General Hospital Ratings

“General Hospital” was up +0.02 week-to-week among Women 25-54 (0.25 rating), marking the long-running soap opera’s best performance in the demo in five weeks (since the week of May 11-15, 2026), while on par with its week-ago performance among Women 18-49 (0.17 rating). With 1.880 million viewers tuning in, the series was down 111,000 viewers, the same amount it gained one week earlier, and was the only daytime broadcast series to see a year-over-year decline, down 13,000 (1.880 million vs. 1.893 million).

On Hulu, “General Hospital” continues to perform well, with three episodes topping the streaming service’s Top 15 Today TV chart the day after release for the week ending June 20, according to The TV Ratings Guide. The series ranked No. 1 on Tuesday, June 16; Wednesday, June 17; and Thursday, June 18. On Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20, the daytime drama ranked second, while on Sunday, June 14, it ranked third.

The View Ratings*

While “The View” attracted its largest audience since the week of January 26-30, 2026, with 2.942 million viewers tuning in, the talk show’s performance comes with an asterisk due to the program excluding its Wednesday, June 17; Thursday, June 18; and Friday, June 19 telecasts from its weekly and season averages, with the excluded telecasts being retitled “View-ABC.” Featuring Vice President JD Vance as a guest on Tuesday, June 16, the program marked its most-watched single telecast (3.331 million) since November 6, 2024, its post-presidential Election Day telecast, and its second most-watched telecast overall in nearly 5 1/2 years (since January 11, 2021).
