Singer and actor Michael Damian, who portrays Danny Romalotti on “The Young and the Restless,” will perform an acoustic version of his new single, “Let Me Into Your Heart,” on the Monday, October 20 episode of the CBS daytime drama series.
Released earlier this month, the song was written and produced by Grammy Award-winning hitmakers Larry and Tom Weir and is the first track to be released from Damian’s highly anticipated upcoming album.
The “intimate acoustic performance” is part of a special storyline moment in which Damian appears as his alter ego on the soap opera, sharing the stage with cast members in a heartfelt musical sequence.
“I’m so excited to share ‘Let Me Into Your Heart’ with everyone,” said Damian. “It’s a
song about love, hope, and connection, and performing it on ‘The Young and the
Restless’ with the cast makes it even more meaningful.”
With a career spanning music, television, film, and theater, Damian is a Grammy-nominated performer who rose to fame in the 1980s playing Danny
Romalotti on “The Young and the Restless,” a role that made him a household name and
earned him a devoted worldwide fan base. As a recording artist, Damian achieved
international success with his cover of “Rock On,” which soared to #1 on the Billboard
Hot 100 chart and earned him multiple Gold records, along with international acclaim.
Outside of acting, his TV and film work includes roles as director, writer, and
producer, among others. Thus far, he’s helmed more than a dozen feature films, including the Netflix global hit “Falling for Christmas,” starring Lindsay Lohan (“Freaky Friday,” “Mean Girls”), and, more recently, he produced “The Wrong Paris,” starring Miranda Cosgrove (“iCarly”) and Pierson Fodé (“The Bold and the Beautiful”), which reached #1 on the Netflix global chart last month.
Showcasing his versatility and passion for storytelling through music, while combining timeless pop-rock sensibilities with heartfelt emotion, “Let Me Into Your Heart” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
