When a promo for “Beyond the Gates” was released last month featuring a crossover appearance by “The Young and the Restless” star Bryton James as his character from the long-running drama series, Devon Winters, fans were in a tizzy wondering when they’d get a chance to see the two-time Emmy award winner formally make his way to Fairmont Crest from Genoa City, at least for a limited time.
Soap Opera Network is happy to report that James will appear in the Monday, August 11 episode of the Michele Val Jean-created daytime soap opera, where he’ll share scenes with “Beyond the Gates” stars Tamara Tunie (Anita Dupree), Clifton Davis (Vernon Dupree) and Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree), among others.
In the episode, look for Devon to have a mind-blowing proposition for Anita, who recently reunited with Sharon (Bonita Brisker) and Tracy (Maria Howell) to perform for the first time in decades as The Articulettes. The episode also features Dani extending an apology to Hayley (Marquita Goings), while Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) becomes emotional about all that he has lost. Meanwhile, Andre (Sean Freeman) lays his heart on the line.
Ahead of the episode, Soap Opera Network has an exclusive first look at what’s to come with a promo that sees Vernon pondering whether music promoter Devon is offering Anita a recording contract, Jacob (Jibre Hordges) warning Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) to brace herself for what he’s about to tell her, and a jealous Hayley seeing Dani comforting Bill.

Outside of James appearing on the series, take a look at what else is set to happen during the week of August 11-15, 2025 on “Beyond the Gates” below.
With James’ appearance, this marks the first-ever crossover to take place between “Beyond the Gates” and one of its CBS soap siblings, and confirms that the three daytime dramas (including “The Bold and the Beautiful”) exist in the same universe, something fans had long wondered since the early days of development for the new series.
