According to updated TV listing guides for next week, WTSP, the TEGNA-owned local CBS affiliate covering Tampa Bay and Sarasota, the 11th-largest TV market (DMA) in the United States, will be introducing an expanded noon newscast beginning Monday, July 7.
As a result of the change, the station will be shifting its daytime schedule with “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” moving to new time slots.
The “10 Tampa Bay Midday” news will now air for a full hour, from 12:00-1:00 p.m., with “The Young and the Restless” airing from 1:00-2:00 p.m., followed by “Beyond the Gates,” which is staying at 2:00 p.m.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” is moving to 3:00 p.m., with the half-hour soap opera airing as the lead-in to “Great Day Live,” which is relocating to the 3:30 p.m. time slot.
“Daytime Jeopardy,” consisting of rebroadcasts of the iconic game show hosted by Ken Jennings, which had been airing at 3:30 p.m., will air its final broadcast on the station on Friday, July 4.
The regularly scheduled evening edition of “Jeopardy!” will continue in its 7:30 p.m. time slot immediately following “Wheel of Fortune” at 7:00 p.m.
“Let’s Make a Deal” and “The Price is Right” will also remain in their regular time slots, airing at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., respectively.
No additional schedule changes are expected at this time.
