As previously reported, Keith D. Robinson will assume the role of Dr. Ted Richardson on “Beyond the Gates” beginning with the Thursday, May 15 episode. He replaces Maurice Johnson, who originated the role when the daytime drama series debuted in February.
Robinson will share some of his first scenes with Colby Muhammad’s Kat, Ted’s daughter, who, in the episode, makes a bold move that turns the tables on Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) and could finally bring her down. Elsewhere, Eva (Ambyr Michelle) searches for a connection on her birthday while Ashley (Jen Jacob) and Derek (Ben Gavin) tiptoe around a growing divide. Will their love be enough to keep the two together? You’ll just have to tune in to find out.
It’s understood that the transition from Johnson to Robinson as Ted will be seamless, with no significant gap between actors. Robinson’s first on-screen appearance was taped in February.
