As expected, CBS has renewed “The Bold and the Beautiful” for three more seasons, which will bring the show through its 41st season.

Debuting March 23, 1987, the half-hour soap follows the entangled lives, passionate loves and high-stakes dramas of the Forrester, Logan and Spencer families and is set against the backdrop of the glamorous Los Angeles fashion world and the fictional fashion house Forrester Creations.

Like its network sibling, “The Young and the Restless,” the renewal will see the daytime drama series remain on the network through the 2027-2028 television season.

After seven days of multiplatform viewing, “The Bold and the Beautiful” is averaging nearly 3.2 million viewers, with Paramount+ viewership in particular up +8% year-over-year.

During the week of March 31-April 4, 2025, the most recent week in which Live+Same Day ratings data is available, the soap opera ranked third among unrounded Women 18-49 (0.33 rating), topping “TODAY 3rd Hour” (0.32 rating) and even “The Young and the Restless” (0.31 rating), for the first time this season.

Recently celebrating its 38th anniversary, original cast members John McCook (Eric Forrester) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) remain part of the show’s cast and continue to drive storylines.

“We love being on CBS, and we couldn’t be happier,” said the show’s supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk, when discussing the show’s future last year following news that CBS had exercised its one-year contract option written into the last renewal deal, which kept the soap on the air through the 2024-2025 television season.

“To all our incredible fans, thank you for your unwavering support and passion for #BoldandBeautiful,” commented Kasprzyk on X (formerly Twitter), following the renewal announcement. “Your enthusiasm fuels our journey, and we’re excited to continue sharing the twists and turns of romance and drama with you. Let’s keep this adventure alive together!”

Later this year, the soap is expected to take part in another international adventure with an on-location shoot in Italy, as previewed by Kasprzyk, who had recently gone on a scouting trip to the country, particularly Naples and Capri. No word yet on which of the two cities will see the show’s cast and crew shooting scenes.

The show previously shot episodes in Italy following trips to Lake Como in 1997, Venice in 1999, Portofino in 2002, Puglia in 2012, and, more recently, Rome in 2023.

Last month, “The Bold and the Beautiful” made daytime history when it celebrated Women’s History Month with an episode written, directed and acted in by cast member Heather Tom (Katie Logan).

Produced by Bell-Phillip Television Productions, Bradley Bell is the show’s executive producer and head writer.
