RUMOR REPORT: ‘The Rachael Ray Show’ to Conclude After 17 Seasons

After 17 seasons in daytime syndication, will "The Rachael Ray Show" stop cooking up new meals? Find out the latest on the Rachael Ray-hosted talker.

Page Six reports that after 17 seasons in syndication, “The Rachael Ray Show” is on the “chopping block” and will likely conclude its run this season.

Citing TV insiders, the publication’s sources say of the Rachael Ray hosted talker, “Her show is ending. This will be the last season.” Another source notes they wouldn’t be surprised if this were the show’s last season because “it hasn’t been doing well for a while. It’s easy to forget that it’s even on.”

Rebuking rumors, show sources told Page Six, “This talk comes up every year because the show is renewed yearly. In fact, they’re out there renewing the show right now. There’s never a decision until later in the spring.”

Another source pointed out, “They [producers] wouldn’t announce renewal to the staff until maybe March. No one would even know about a renewal until then.”

A spokesperson for the show states, “We have not canceled the show.”

According to data reported by TVNewsCheck, the show has tied for fourth or fifth place on multiple occasions this season among the daytime syndicated talk shows, averaging a 0.7 rating in households, which, depending on the week, ties it with “The Tamron Hall Show” and/or “The Drew Barrymore Show.” Only “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” “Dr. Phil” and “The Kelly Clarkson Show” rate higher in the key ratings category.

After kicking off the show’s new season from her home in Italy, Rachael continues to work partly from “the office” and partly “from home” as she’s serving up delicious meals, celebrity surprises, inspiring viewer stories and more from both her NYC studio and her home in upstate New York.

Distributed and produced by CBS Media Ventures in association with Harpo Productions, Discovery Inc., and Watch Entertainment, “The Rachael Ray Show” has won three Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Talk Show. Janet Annino is the Senior Executive Producer.
