Sally Kellerman has passed away at the age of 84. The former "MASH" film star appeared as Constance Bingham on "The Young and the Restless" in 2014.

IN MEMORIAM

Actress Sally Kellerman passed away today, February 24, at the age of 84 from complications of dementia, Deadline reports. Kellerman had been residing in an assisted living facility in Woodland Hills, CA. Her death was confirmed by her publicist, Alan Eichler.

Throughout her more than six-decade-long career, Kellerman had roles in such projects as “Brewster McCloud,” “Welcome to LA,” “The Player,” “Last of the Red Hot Lovers,” “Back to School,” “Star Trek,” “The Twilight Zone,” “Bonanza,” “90210” and “The Outer Limits,” among others. In 1970, she starred in the 1970 film “MASH” as Maj. Margaret “Hot Lips” O’Houlihan.

Kellerman received an Oscar nomination in the category of Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her portrayal in the film, along with a Golden Globe nomination. She won the Kansas City Film Critics Circle Award in the category. A TV version of the film (titled “M*A*S*H”) premiered in 1972 with the character played by actress Loretta Swit

Kellerman is probably best known to soap fans for her recurring role in 2014 as Constance Bingham on “The Young and the Restless,” a wheelchairbound woman with mysterious ties to Adam Newman (then played by Justin Hartley). Adam had been impersonating her son, Gabriel, after having reconstructive surgery. Kellerman received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for her portrayal of the character in the category of Outstanding Special Guest Performer in a Drama Series.

“Our condolences to the loved ones of Sally Kellerman who graced #YR with her talents as Constance Bingham,” read a tweet by the official handle for “The Young and the Restless” in light of Kellerman’s passing.
