Now that the case against Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is all wrapped up, it looks like we’ll be seeing less of Scott Baldwin on “General Hospital.” Days before the new year kicked off, actor Kin Shriner announced that his current run on the daytime drama series has come to an end.
“Thanks ‘General Hospital’ fans for all the encouraging mentions. Scott’s run is done, so heading to Florida to ride Vespa around the tropics,” Shriner wrote in a Twitter post which at press time has received nearly 600 comments from discouraged fans who want to see more of the actor on screen.
One fan stated, “You’re coming back right? Your schnitzel needs you. We need you. Enjoy your holiday. Happy New Year & I hope we see u again soon.”
“WHAT….Scotty was just getting on a roll. So annoying,” commented another.
In a later tweet, Shriner said, “Playing Scotty on ‘General Hospital’ [is] always my first choice. So going to plan B Vespa riding and scuba diving!”
Shriner joined the cast of “GH” in 1977 and has appeared off and on ever since. In fact, he played the character for several years on the spinoff “Port Charles.” The actor has also appeared on “As The World Turns,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Texas” and “The Young and the Restless.”
