Ingo Rademacher Issues Public Apology to Trans Actress Cassandra James, Plans to Address Status at ‘General Hospital’ Soon

Ingo Rademacher has issued a public apology to Cassandra James for sharing a transphobic post and says he'll reveal his status at "General Hospital" at another time.

After sharing a post on Instagram which depicted transphobic sentiments, Ingo Rademacher (Jasper “Jax” Jacks) has issued a public apology to co-star Cassandra James (Terry Randolph), saying, “Cassandra, I apologize to you sincerely. I think you’re an absolute talent and you’re very beautiful as well. I don’t think a transphobic man would say that. I think you’re absolutely gorgeous, I really do.” He also stated plans to address his status at the daytime drama series at another time. Allegedly he was let go from the series after not complying with a vaccine mandate that went into effect for all cast, crew and staff on Monday, November 1.

Following James calling him out, even if not by name, for his transphobic post on Instagram, the trans actress said, “I am aware of a transphobic post shared by a fellow ‘General Hospital’ actor. Shame on you. You have some serious unlearning and education to do. I feel deeply disappointed that such a public display of ignorance could come from our ‘GH’ family.” James added to their post, saying, “Misgendering trans folks is violence and if you come for one of us, you come for all of us. The cis world doesn’t get to decide which of us is valuable. I am so proud of the fans for always holding us to a high standard, for calling out transphobia and violence.”

In the three-plus month video which was part apology and part doubling down on his view point, Rademacher said to watchers, “Instead of pointing out that [the post] was a comparison… while it is not okay to call a black woman a white supremacist, and I don’t think either that it’s okay to call a transgender an empowered woman because where does that leave women? Think about that for a second. Where does that leave women? Women have fought so hard to get on a level playing field with men. They weren’t allowed to do anything back in the day. They were nothing. So, I just don’t agree with that. But I do apologize for not crossing out ‘dude’ and putting ‘transgender.’ So, I apologize for that because me personally I would have not written it that way — it was somebody else’s post, and again that’s not an excuse — I should have just crossed it out but the comparison there is just pointing out the hypocrisy of the left-wing media. I just don’t agree with it.”

Furthering his comments, Rademacher said, “I do apologize again for not writing that correctly and taking that out because I wouldn’t refer to a transgender person as a dude if they want to be called a she. That’s totally fine.

Addressing James directly, Rademacher said, “Cassandra, I apologize to you sincerely. I think you’re an absolute talent and you’re very beautiful as well. I don’t think a transphobic man would say that. I think you’re absolutely gorgeous, I really do.” He added, “You and I are going to disagree on a few things and that’s… I’m okay with that. What I have a problem with is not having open discussion and open debate about things, and the left just shuts everything down and I have a real problem with that because I don’t like bullies. Again, I was wrong about posting it like that. I should have crossed it out and put ‘transgender.’”

As for his status at “General Hospital,” Rademacher says, “I will comment on that later. I just don’t have time right now. I’m running around town… I have a lot of things to do. I will get back in touch with everybody and fill you guys in on what’s happening when I can, and again, hey, let’s all try to bring everything together.”

Watch Rademacher’s apology video below, including his comments on his youngest son wanting to wear a Disney Princess dress when he was younger. In it Rademacher tells of how he and his wife told their child the outfit was meant for women/girls, but they gave in and bought the outfit for him anyway.

Since being posted this morning, Rademacher’s video has amassed more than 16,000 views with the vast majority of comments showing support for the actor and his stance on various subjects discussed.
