Pluto TV Confirms Soaps Channel Will Contain More Than ‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’

In a follow up to our story from earlier this week in which we reported that Pluto TV has launched a soaps channel that encompasses reruns of “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” more specifically episodes first aired in September 2018 and later, a rep for the ViacomCBS owned and operated streaming service has confirmed that more soap related content will be “launching soon.”

While no specifics were shared at this time, particularly what additional soap related content will be added to the lineup in the future, it’s definitely an exciting time to be a fan of soaps.

Currently, Pluto TV has episodes from the 47th and 48th seasons of “Y&R,” a total of 416 episodes starting with episode #11505 through #11921. The episodes encompass the latter portion of the Mal Young era and the early portion of the Anthony Morina and Josh Griffith era. Fans of Gina Tognoni as Phyllis Summers and Daniel Goddard as Cane Ashby will be especially pleased to watch these episodes. Additionally, Marla Adams appeared as Dina Abbott Mergeron during this era as part of the show’s Alzheimer’s storyline.

The Bold and the Beautiful” kicks off with episode #7929 which aired in September 2018 as part of its 32nd season. Fans of Courtney Hope as Sally Spectra (now appearing on “Y&R”) and Ingo Rademacher as Thorne Forrester (now appearing as Jasper “Jax” Jacks on “General Hospital”) will be especially pleased to watch these episodes. Adain Bradley and Kiara Barnes also appeared as Xander Avant and Zoe Buckingham, respectively, during this period.
