While we wouldn’t necessarily call the episodes “classics” in terms of how long since they first aired on CBS, Pluto TV announced today that it has launched a soaps channel dedicated to airing older episodes of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Young and the Restless,” and more. Additionally, viewers will be able to watch newer episodes of both “B&B” and “Y&R” as part of its OnDemand service.
Episodes from season 47 and season 48 of “Y&R,” a total of 416 episodes starting with episode #11505 through #11921, are available and encompassing the latter portion of the Mal Young era and the early portion of the Anthony Morina and Josh Griffith era.
The central storyline currently being aired is the one involving Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) being sentenced to 12 months in prison following her conviction of negligent vehicular homicide in the death of Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan, who now appears as Hilary’s sister, Amanda Sinclair).
Fans of Gina Tognoni as Phyllis Summers and Daniel Goddard as Cane Ashby will be especially pleased to watch these episodes. Additionally, Marla Adams appeared as Dina Abbott Mergeron during this era as part of the show’s Alzheimer’s storyline.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” kicks off with episode #7929 which aired in September 2018 as part of its 32nd season. Fans of Courtney Hope as Sally Spectra (now appearing on “Y&R”) and Ingo Rademacher as Thorne Forrester (now appearing as Jasper “Jax” Jacks on “General Hospital”) will be especially pleased to watch these episodes. Adain Bradley and Kiara Barnes also appeared as Xander Avant and Zoe Buckingham, respectively, during this period.
