It’s been years since fans got to see Daniel McVicar on “The Bold and the Beautiful” as the beloved Clarke Garrison, and while that won’t change anytime soon it looks like the actor’s recent surprise visit to the set of the soap couldn’t have been any more perfect!
As the series plans to release its entire first season on YouTube beginning Wednesday, September 1, with one episode released every Thursday to Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. ET until all episodes are available, McVicar popped in to say “hi” to some old friends from the show, including supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk.
On Twitter, Kasprzyk shared a photo of himself standing next to McVicar on Wednesday, August 25 with the caption saying, “It’s Bucky! aka Clarke Garrison! @danielmcvicar made a surprise visit to #BoldandBeautiful. So great getting a chance to hang with him today.”
“It was great! I loved seeing old friends again!” commented McVicar on Instagram.
McVicar joined the cast of “B&B” in October 1987 when Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) hired Clarke to romance her daughter Kristen (then played by Teri Ann Linn). The actor left the show in 1992 but returned in 1996. He remained with the show until 2009. Clarke is best remembered for his scheming with Sally Spectra (the late Darlene Conley) who he later married and fathered a child with — CJ Garrison (Mick Cain).
Since leaving “B&B,” McVicar has gone on to appear in multiple TV projects, more recently appearing in the TV series “Sport Crime,” a procedural crime drama that claims to utilize real sports action mixed with adventure, edgy music, psychology, and well placed humor.
