It looks like Kirsten Storms is already back to work on the set of “General Hospital” as Maxie Jones, according to a recent Instagram story she shared with her followers — the image was first shared on the “General Hospital” account’s Instagram story.

“Maxie’s Back!” read the caption of a photo of Storms standing in what appears to be her dressing room. In the background, the TV screen says “‘General Hospital’: That’s a Wrap. Good Night,” referencing the conclusion of that day’s shooting. The image was shared early Friday, July 30, which means Storms likely returned to the set on Thursday, July 29. There’s no word yet on when we’ll get our first glimpse of the actress back on screen, however.

As you’ll recall, Storms had surgery in early June to remove a very large non-cancerous cyst in her head. “I will be on the mend for the next several weeks. I will be back at work when this is over with,” Storms said at the time.

On the show, Maxie decided to leave Port Charles for the time being in order to spend time in Texas to clear her mind and for the safety of her newborn daughter, Louise, who Maxie left in the care of Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).

Currently, the town believes Louise’s father, Peter August (Wes Ramsey), is on the run ready to seek revenge against those who’ve wronged him, including Maxie who had recorded his confessing to killing her real nurse. As a result, Maxie formed a plan with Brook Lynn wherein Louise would be raised for the time being by the heiress as Bailey Lois Quartermaine, the supposed child Brook Lynn is alleged to have had by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) who still has no idea that he’s being lied to about having fathered the child.

What neither Maxie nor Brook Lynn knows is that Peter was “killed” some weeks ago after falling down a flight of stairs at General Hospital and his death had been covered up, literally, by Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). However, it was recently discovered that Peter’s body wasn’t in the freezer the two had left him following said death. Viewers are now left wondering, Is Peter dead? or does someone else have the body hidden elsewhere? We’ll all just have to tune in to find out!

In the meantime, welcome back, Kirsten. We missed you!
