The Young and the Restless” will welcome another actor from “The Bold and the Beautiful” next week when John McCook appears on daytime’s most-watched drama series for a multi-episode arc which finds his “B&B” character, Eric Forrester, reuniting with Courtney Hope‘s Sally Spectra for the first time since she moved to Genoa City after spending several years mixing it up with the Forresters, Logans and the Spencers in Los Angeles.

“It’s about Sally coming to L.A. to visit Eric but it was shot on ‘Y&R’s’ balcony, where they put up a very nice limbo kind of set that’s supposed to be an outdoor patio at Forrester Creations,” reveals McCook about his upcoming appearance to Soap Opera Digest, which first reported the news. “Courtney is a sweet, wonderful girl, who’s very conscientious and I really enjoyed working with her again,” McCook said of his former “B&B” co-star.

Airing on Monday, June 14, Wednesday, June 16 and Thursday, June 17, the vast majority of McCook’s appearance will take part via video calls outside of the initial in-person connection the two share.

Earlier this year, “B&B” and “Y&R” aired a much-publicized crossover event where “Y&R’s” Hunter King (Summer Newman) crossed over to “B&B” and “B&B’s” Katrina Bowden (Flo Fulton) continued the connection for an episode on “Y&R.” Additionally, “B&B’s” Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer) from “B&B” appeared via telephone for the initial crossover that began on “Y&R” and appeared again a few episodes later via a shared dining set where his character met up with Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) on “Y&R” at an L.A. restaurant.

Following that successful event, “B&B’s” Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) returned to his old stomping grounds at “Y&R” in February, more than a decade after his then character, Brad Carlton, was killed off. And speaking of returning to their old stomping grounds, McCook made his daytime debut on “Y&R” in 1976 as Lance Prentiss. In the years since his exit from the soap, he was hired to portray Eric Forrester on “B&B” when the show launched in March 1987. He is just one of two remaining original cast members alongside Kathrine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan).
