THE NUMBERS

All eyes were on “The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” when 21.98 million viewers were tuned into NBC’s annual telecast during the week of November 23-27, 2020, according to newly released Nielsen Media Research ratings data. “The National Dog Show” followed with 12.27 million viewers viewers. Regular daytime broadcasts during the week were a mixed bag of originals, reruns, preemptions and episodes coded as specials so as not to count in the season average. CBS’ “The Talk” is cratering, hitting historic lows to rank last in all key categories, losing the most audience of any daytime program season-to-date and year-over-year.
