On Tuesday, December 1, “The Young and the Restless” will air its 12,000th episode. To celebrate Soap Opera Network has a sneak peek at what you can expect.

Who knew that it would take 12,000 episodes and more than 47 years of daytime drama for the Abbotts, the Chancellors and the Newmans to finally come together all for a celebratory occasion? No fights? No arguments? Just coming together to celebrate love? Well, it seems the wedding of Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), daughter of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), and Chance Chancellor (temporarily portrayed by Justin Gaston), son of Nina Webster (Tricia Cast), is all that was needed for these long-time rivals to be at peace.

On her official website, Slezak has broken her silence via her 2013 Holiday Letter for fans. In it, Slezak says, "I loved being back at 'OLTL'; I loved being back with all my friends on the show and we had a wonderful time although it was short lived. Still, I am very grateful for that brief opportunity to have played Viki once more."

SOAPnet: The Definition of “Classic” Made Clear

On Friday, August 12, both Soap Opera Network and Soap Opera Digest reported SOAPnet's post "All My Children" schedule (Monday, September 26), which included the insertion of "Brothers & Sisters" re-runs and the shuffling of more than 80% of the schedule into different time periods. Other than "Days of our Lives" picking up a primetime spot (8:00 PM ET/PT), nothing caught reader attention more than the network announcing classic episodes of "All My Children," "General Hospital" and "One Life to Live." So what is a classic episode according to the network?
