With just two more “Flashback Friday” episodes to go before switching over to three straight weeks of Nurses Ball episodes, “General Hospital” is re-airing its 55th-anniversary show on Friday, May 15.
Originally aired on March 30, 2018, the special anniversary episode highlights 55 years of Port Charles drama, action and adventure, love and romance, family, friends and much more. The soap premiered on April 1, 1963.
In the episode, Sonny (Maurice Benard) does what he can for Mike (Max Gail). Jason (Steve Burton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) put their differences aside. Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) gives Maxie (Kirsten Storms) a pep talk. Ned (Wally Kurth) crosses paths with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and Anna (Finola Hughes) recounts her losses.

Next week, “General Hospital” will air its final batch of original episodes that were produced before the production shutdown in March due to COVID-19 precautions. Nurses Ball-related episodes begin airing Monday, May 25 and will run through at least Friday, June 12, starting with episodes aired in 2014 and 2015.
