‘B&B’ to Resume Airing in the United Kingdom for the First Time in 10 Years

The United Kingdom is getting its daily dose of "The Bold and the Beautiful" for the first time in 10 years.

While the British soaps were forced to reduce the number of original episodes they broadcast each week due to the coronavirus pandemic, “The Bold and the Beautiful” will be all-new five days a week to viewers in the United Kingdom now that the show has returned to television for the first time in 10 years.

Launched on CCXTV’s Freeview 23 on Wednesday, April 15, “B&B’s” UK episodes began in Catalina Island (episode #7999) where Hope (Annika Noelle) is in labor and Liam (Scott Clifton) is trying to move heaven and earth to get to her. Meanwhile, Reese (Wayne Brady) assures Hope that he is a licensed obstetrician and is more than capable of delivering hers and Liam’s baby.

The new network will air “fresh” episodes of the soap at 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with multiple re-airings scheduled to air throughout the following day. Additionally, the network will provide an omnibus every Saturday starting at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 11:00 a.m. For those wondering, an omnibus is a British TV term for a marathon, or binge viewing for today’s TV lingo.

Episodes of “B&B” were previously released on the show’s UK dedicated YouTube channel starting in 2015. The channel features clips and full episodes of the soap but has not been updated in four years.

As for its return to television, several “B&B” stars took part in promos for the network’s launch, including Clifton, Courtney Hope (Sally), Darin Brooks (Wyatt), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), Don Diamont (Bill), John McCook (Eric) and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy).
