According to TVLine, which first reported the news, Rikaart, who is on recurring status, will first appear on the Friday, June 7 episode of the series and “Kevin will be shedding his good-guy persona.”
The publication notes that Kevin has been living in Oregon alongside Chloe and their daughter Bella after Chloe faked her death in order to avoid prison time for murdering a now much alive Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). With word that Adam is back in town as well, Kevin also checks back in for some “unfinished business” and that entails exploring the darker side of things, similar to how he was introduced back in 2003.
When Kevin was last seen in town in February 2018, he worked with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) in obtaining Adam’s DNA records.
Rikaart wrapped his one-year stint as Leo Stark on “Days of our Lives” in March. The day the episode aired the actor said, “Playing this role has been a gift. An absurdly fun and delicious gift.” He received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal. He won in the same category in 2005 for his “Y&R” role.
