New episodes of The CW’s “The Flash” don’t premiere until October, but we already have some idea of what’s about to happen: “The Young and the Restless” alum Hartley Sawyer (ex-Kyle Abbott) has joined the cast for the upcoming fourth season of the series in the recurring role of Ralph Dibny (aka Elongated Man).

According to Deadline, Dibny is a fast-talking private eye whose skills rival that of Batman, and as one of Flash’s well-known allies, he uses his ability to stretch his body to any shape or form while helping Team Flash solve one of the greatest mysteries in Central City.

In addition to “Y&R,” Sawyer has appeared in episodes of ABC’s “GCB” and “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23,” comedy “Glory Daze” and is currently shooting season 2 of “Miss 2059” for go90. He is repped by Pakula/King & Associates.
