‘General Hospital’ and William deVry Hit Impasse on New Contract

General Hospital” star William deVry (Julian Jerome), who has been in negotiations for several weeks with ABC over a new contract, may have filmed his final scenes at the daytime drama series, barring any last-minute change, reports Soap Opera Digest.

According to the publication on its website, scenes deVry filmed before the soap began its three-week filming hiatus on Friday, June 30 could be his last now that an impasse has been reached.

“Nobody knew it was maybe his last day,” a set-side source is quoted as telling Digest. “I think we all just assumed there was lots of story planned for ‘Julexis,'” said the source referring to the fan-generated nickname for deVry’s character’s coupling with Nancy Lee Grahn‘s Alexis Davis.

William deVry, who began playing the dastardly handsome Julian Jerome on the soap in July 2013, recently said on Twitter, “All @GeneralHospital Fans & Julexis fans r the best. I appreciate u guys so much. Just wanted U2 know.”
