Stefano took three bullets square in the chest, collapsed in a chair, and was pronounced dead by Rafe (Galen Gering). The Phoenix, as portrayed by Joseph Mascolo, appears to be done for good, this time around, with no chance of ever rising again. Did “Days of our Lives” make a huge mistake killing off Stefano?

Many are outraged by the demise of daytime’s premiere villain, while others are simply in denial about it. Every viewer seems to have an opinion about the stunning plot turn that took everyone off guard; especially the twist of having Days heroine Hope (Kristian Alfonso) be the one who pulled the trigger and blew Stefano away.
