Hot on the heels of word breaking that Kelly Sullivan (Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri) would be departing ABC’s “General Hospital” in the near future as a result of her character being written off canvas, the newest issue of Soap Opera Digest reveals that co-star Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri) has renewed her contract with the daytime soap. Ironically, the two portray cousins on “GH.”

“It’s so funny because we were in negotiations at the time I got the call saying Olivia was going to be shot and I was like, ‘Uh, wait a minute … [laughs].’ Of course, it had been planned for a long time but still I kept thinking, ‘Not a good time for a physical misfortune to befall your character [laughs].'”

LoCicero joined the cast of “GH” in September 2008 as the mother of Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) – the result of a past fling with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) back in their childhood days.

The length of LoCicero’s contract was not revealed by the actress or Digest.
