(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “One Life to Live” is on the hunt for a new Joey Buchanan, one day after releasing a “wide release” casting call for the contract role of Viki and Clint’s youngest son.

In the new audition script, Joey is described as being in his “mid to late 30s,  and a extremely good-looking, successful, warm, kind, charming, finance guy.” In 2007, “Castle” star Nathan Fillion was the most recent actor to step into the role (for two episodes – he had previously played Joey from 1994-97), which has already been recast a half dozen times since Joey first aired back in 1982.

Last year, “OLTL” reportedly went after “As the World Turns” star Daniel Cosgrove for the role, however, he turned them down.  As for what brings Joey back to Llanview, “One Life’s” Head Writer Ron Carlivati hints that “Our thoughts for Kelly [Gina Tognoni] are turning to romance.” Back in the day Joey and Kelly were one of Llanview’s more popular young couples.

In other news…

“OLTL” has also released a casting call for the heavily recurring role of “Eddie,” who is described as in his “40’s, early 50’s, underneath his hot, handsome, sexy, charming exterior lies an extremely violent and abusive nature.”  It is rumored that Eddie is the father of the three Ford brothers and that he will first air sometime in October.  According to reports, the script involves Eddie visiting the apartment of his sons, who want nothing to do with him.

Mandy Evans booked an unknown “Under 5” role on “OLTL” on August 20th.  She taped her scenes on August 25th.

Terrell Tilford (Greg) has added more airdates for his character on his Facebook page.  In addition to September 10th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th, 27th, 28th, and 30th, fans can also expect to see him in the October 1st & 4th and November 2nd episodes.

The Jessica/Natalie baby bump picture discussed recently is from a scene that airs the week of September 27th.

Kristen Alderson tweeted on September 8th that she had just finished up a photo shoot with her co-stars Nic Robuck (James) and Brandon Buddy (Cole).

And Kassie DePaiva (Blair) tells fans “Thanks for all the nice post and emails about my scenes with Matt [Walton – Eli] this week [August 31st – September 3rd]. Those scenes were exhausting but I thought they turned out well. Let me know what you think…” Prior to that, she stated that “I’m loving working so much. Keep watching…. it’s getting good!!!!”

“One Life to Live” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Anytime on ABC.com and SOAPnet.com. Check local listings.
