(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Nearly two months after it was announced that Taylor Spreitler would be departing NBC's "Days of our Lives" in the role of Mia McCormick, a last airdate for the actress has been set.

According to sources, look for Spreitler to last air on Wednesday, June 23, when Mia shares an emotional goodbye with Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Will (Chandler Massey). The character is expected to head off to New York, as she recently discussed with ex-boyfriend Chad Peterson Woods (Casey Deidrick).

"My heart will always be in Salem. Wanted to say thank you to all my fans for your support. I would also like to say thank you to 'Days of our Lives' for letting Mia stay around in Salem longer than expected and for that I am grateful," said Spreitler in a statement released in April. "Looking forward to the next journey in my career."

Spreitler joined the cast of "DAYS" in January 2009 as Mia, who had given her baby to Nicole Walker (Arianne Zuker) to raise in Nicole's hopes of holding on to then husband E.J. DiMera (James Scott).

"Days of our Lives" airs Weekdays on NBC. Anytime on NBC.com.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — If you thought you couldn't learn anything about love while watching daytime soap operas, other than "Who's the Daddy?," Beliefnet.com's Hillary Fields has compiled a list of 11 love lessons learned while watching soaps.

"Soap operas are my big guilty pleasure," said Fields in her report. "Yes, the acting is melodramatic and the storylines are sometimes so over the top they make the plot twists on "Lost" look logical, but still, there's a lot you can learn from [these] daytime dramas."

            1. Don't Keep Secrets
EJ (James Scott,"Days of our Lives") needs to learn that.

            2. It's OK to Take a Chance on Love
Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson, "The Young and the Restless"), you can take a Chance on Chance (John Driscoll).

            3. Respect Others' Personal Space
Annie (Melissa Claire Egan, "All My Children") sure isn't respecting JR's (Jacob Young).

            4. Don't Make the Same Mistake Twice
How about 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, etc times? Erica Kane (Susan Lucci, "All My Children") has done it often.

            5. Don't Lie
Too many liars to list in daytime.

            6. Don't Assume the Worst of Others (but Don't Turn Your Back on an Enemy Either)
Luke (Anthony Geary, "General Hospital") and Helena (Constance Towers) do it often.

            7. Don't Stray
Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin, "Days of our Lives") is notorious for doing this. First with Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), now with Daniel (Shawn Christian).

            8. Let Calmer Heads Prevail
Greenlee (Rebecca Budig, "All My Children") could learn from this.

            9. Be Discreet
Vivian (Louise Sorel, "Days of our Lives") is bad at this.

            10. Talk Is Great, But It's No Substitute for Action
"Days of our Lives" is known for having its characters be talking heads.

            11. Wear Elegant Clothing—to Everything
If nothing else, "The Bold and the Beautiful" is about fashion and style.

For more information and descriptions from Fields on each category, head on over to Beliefnet.com.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — The former “One Life to Live” starlet makes an appearance on HBO’s new series “Boardwalk Empire.”  Set in Atlantic City during the Prohibition era of the 1920′s, the show is directed by Academy Award winner Martin Scorsese and written by “The Sopranos” Emmy-Award winning scribe Terence Winter.  It is based on the Nelson Johnson book Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City.

In the episode, which she taped back in the spring, Brier plays the legendary singer Sophie Tucker.  “I had a blast playing her, and am also planning to put together a stage show of her songbook in NYC and perform it sometime around the time my appearance airs on HBO,” she comments on Facebook.

Brier played Marcie McBain on “One Life to Live” from 2002-09, and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress for the role in 2004.  Outside of “OLTL,” she has an impressive Broadway resume, most notably for her portrayal of Tracy Turnblad in “Hairspray.”  Brier is also and accomplished musician.

“Boardwalk Empire” will premier this fall on HBO.  Visit the show’s official website for more information.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — The latest buzz for “One Life to Live.”

Soap Opera Digest reports that John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex) recently signed a new four-year deal with the show. Lavoisier joined the cast in 2002.

Sean Ringgold (Shaun) will lend his voice to upcoming new “Smurfs” feature film. He will voice the character of “Bubba.” Filming began on March 26th, and a release date has been set for July 29, 2011. “Day one Shooting the Movie ” SMURFS” Playing the Role of BUBBA. Very Excited to be working with Hank AZARIA. I think all the kids will get a good laugh. I have to thank all my supportive FaceBook Family who always show love. You have no idea how much your words inspire me to keep pushing Forward. Bless You All,” Ringgold comments on his Facebook page. The cast also includes Neil Patrick Harris as Johan, Katy Perry as the voice of Smurfette, Hank Azaria as Gargamel and Paul Reubens as the voice of Jokey Smurf, among others.

Even though he has only appeared in two episodes thus far, many “OLTL” fans are bombarding the net with petitions wanting to see more of Max Tapper and the character of Detective Price. But is more of the newcomer on the way, or have we seen the last of Llanview’s newest cop?

Terrell Tilford (Greg) seemed a little less than thrilled on his Twitter page on Monday evening, tweeting that he “Just found out I’m shooting tomorrow…someone screwed-up MAJORLY!!! I have 15 scenes to shoot and JUST got the script….I’m grateful, but PISSED!!!!”

Steph Garcia comments on her web site that she “Filmed another episode [as a Buenos Dias Waitress] of One Life to Live to air July 22nd!”

“One Life to Live” has released more information regarding a recent audition script for a “Private Investigator.” The soap is looking for an African-American actor in their mid-30s for the recurring role, which is described as “charming, good looking, and extremely successful.”

“OLTL” Music Director Paul Glass tweets that song at the end of the June 1st episode was Keane’s “My Shadow.”

And former “One Life” star Danneel Harris (ex-Shannon) married her boyfriend Jensen Ackles (ex-Eric, “Days of Our Lives”) were married on May 15th in Dallas.
