Newcomer Amber Skye Noyes, whose brother, Tyler, portrayed a young CJ Roberts back in the early 1990′s on “One Life to Live,” has been cast as Michelle, Matthew Buchanan’s (Robert Gorrie) online girlfriend. Viewers will recall that Matthew and Michelle began communicating via Facebook in recent episodes. Noyes debuts on the Thursday, June 27 episode of the soap.
Alice Callahan has joined the cast in the role of Kate, a teacher who gets involved in Jack Manning’s (Andrew Trischitta) life while he attends summer school. Callahan first airs Thursday, June 27.
“As The World Turns” alums Paolo Seganti (ex-Damien Grimaldi) and Marnie Schulenburg (ex-Alison Stewart) along with “Guiding Light” alum Ron Raines (ex-Alan Spaulding) are joining the cast of The OnLine Network’s “One Life to Live,” the network announced today. The three former CBS Daytime soap stars make their Llanview debuts this summer in newly created roles.
As we previously reported, “The Young and the Restless’” Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) has decided to walk away from the role she began in 1994, news which has now been officially confirmed.
Angelica McDaniel, the Senior Vice President of CBS Daytime, sent out a tweet regarding news of the actress’ impending exit. “[Michelle Stafford] has been a huge part of the ‘Y&R’ family,” she writes. “Respect her decision to move on but will miss her. Wish her the very best always.”
According to TV Guide‘s Michael Logan, Rena Sofer (ex-Lois Cerullo, “General Hospital”) is joining the cast of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” as Quinn Fuller, the mother of Darin Brooks‘ Wyatt Fuller. “Not a lot of deets yet, except that Mama is as mysterious as Sonny Boy and both have secrets that will rock the soap,” the publication reported.
In addition to her Emmy award winning role on “GH,” Sofer has appeared in episodes of CBS’ “NCIS” and “Two and a Half Men.” Most recently, the actress portrayed Queen Eva in an episode of ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” and appeared as Sabrina Meyer on The CW’s “Beauty and the Beast.”
Genoa City is apparently a very popular place to be, as “The Young and the Restless” is adding yet another character to the canvas. This time, the sudser has tapped actress Mishael Morgan to play the new character of Hillary Curtis.
Some of you are going to say it, others are going to shout it, but the thought that comes along with the news that Hope is getting a new love interest other than Scott Clifton’s Liam Spencer is “Well, it’s about freaking time!” Yep, Kim Matula’s alter ego will finally be caught up in a romantic situation sans Bill’s son. In fact, a rep confirms that another Emmy winner — Darin Brooks (ex-Max Brady, “Days of our Lives) — will be the one stealing Hope’s heart!
Just in time for the typical teen-driven storylines soaps often focus on for the summer comes a brand new young actress ready to shake things up in “General Hosptial’s” Port Charles: “666 Park Avenue” star Samantha Logan, who will be playing Taylor DuBois, the little sister of Felix DuBois (Marc Anthony Samuel).
The flowers children sent out to their moms for Mother’s Day are likely still thriving, but the same can’t be said for a popular mother/daughter duo on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Both Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) and Hunter Tylo (Taylor Hayes) are exiting the sudser!
New and old faces hit “The Bold and the Beautiful” this week:
Ricky Paull Goldin makes his debut as Jesse, Maya’s (Karla Mosley) ex and baby daddy on Wednesday, May 15.
Rachel Reilly returns as Rachel, the bikini beach waitress on Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 17.
Othello Clark returns as Othello on Tuesday, May 14-Thursday, May 16.

In a newly released image from The OnLine Network, Billy Clyde is about to butt heads with Ray MacDonnell‘s Dr. Joe Martin, in what appears to be a motel room.
