Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that Sal Stowers (short for Saleisha Stowers) has been cast in the role of Cassandra Foster, the adopted daughter of Angela Hubbard (Debbi Morgan), who the good doctor found abandoned in a dumpster during her run on ABC’s “The City” back in the mid-1990′s. The character returned as an 18 year-old seeking comfort from mommy dearest in 2008 as portrayed by Yaya DaCosta.

Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that Denyse Tontz has been cast in the contract role of Miranda Montgomery, Bianca’s (Eden Riegel) now aged daughter. It was previously reported that Jordan Lane Price had been cast in the role, but it looks like Price will be portraying the role of a new character by the name of Celia Fitzgerald instead.
Tontz has appeared in a number of teen centric series including “Pair of Kings,” “Big Time Rush,” and “Shake It Up!”

Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that Eric Nelsen has been cast as an aged AJ Chandler, son of JR Chandler (now played by Ryan Bittle) and Babe Chandler. Nelsen, who according to his IMDb was originally cast as Eric van der Woodsen on the CW’s “Gossip Girl” before studio execs felt he was too young for the part, will be tackling the Pine Valley High School teen scene when he debuts on the series later this spring.

Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that “All My Children” has cast veteran actor Ryan Bittle in the contract role of JR Chandler. Bittle replaces Jacob Young, who is currently appearing on CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” as Rick Forrester.
Bittle first broke out into television in 1994, when he starred in the teen series “Sweet Valley High.” He portrayed Todd Wilkins on the popular series. Bittle’s other television credits include recent appearances in “Shameless,” “The New Normal” and “Bones.”

Soap Opera Network has learned that “The Price is Right” male model Robert Scott Wilson is joining the cast of TOLN‘s “All My Children.”
Although his character name has yet to be confirmed by Prospect Park, it is believed that Wilson will be playing a recast Pete Cortlandt (last played by Daniel Kennedy). Actress Jill Larson recently confirmed Wilson’s joining “AMC” when she tweeted, “Are you following my ‘son’ “Petey?” @MrRobertScott #AMC.” Soap Opera Network had previously been hearing that Wilson was joining the “One Life to Live” cast.

Earlier today Paos Revolution (aka: Soap Revolution flipped) announced that actor Ray MacDonnell is scheduled to make a return visit to Pine Valley as Dr. Joe Martin. It was previously stated by Michael E. Knight (Tad Martin), in a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, that MacDonnell would likely be appearing on the reboot of the soap. “I think the Martins are going to be well-represented with Cady and I hear Ray. I’m sorry if Ricky [Paull Goldin, ex-Jake] won’t be. I’m blessed, personally, that the Martins are going to be represented,” said Knight.

Deadline is reporting that Eden Riegel is returning to TOLN‘s “All My Children” to once again portray Bianca Montgomery for a cameo guest arc. Riegel last appeared on “AMC” in January 2010. The role was later played by actress Christina Bennett Lind, who is currently appearing in John W. Engeman Theater Production of “Wait Until Dark.”
As previously reported, Jordan Lane Price has been cast in the contract role of Miranda Montgomery, Bianca’s now high school aged daughter.

Earlier today, Prospect Park announced that actress Julia Barr will reprise her role of Brooke English on TOLN‘s “All My Children,” which resumes production on Monday, February 25.
Barr, who last appeared during the finale episode of the soap opera’s ABC run in September 2011, has signed on as a series regular, a Prospect Park representative tells Soap Opera Network. The actress had previously appeared on the soap in a recurring capacity after being dropped from contract status in December 2006.

Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that Laura Harrier has been cast in the contract role of Destiny Evans on “One Life to Live.” She replaces Shenell Edmonds, who portrayed the character on the ABC version of the series from 2009-2012. No word yet on who will be portraying the recast version of Matthew Buchanan, last played by Eddie Alderson.
“OLTL” marks Harrier’s first role as a series regular on television.

On Today’s “Katie,” “General Hospital‘s” Genie Francis (Laura Spencer) revealed that Rachel Ames, who portrayed Nurse Audrey Hardy since the debut year of the soap (1963) through 2009 (with breaks in between), is returning just in time for the shows 50th anniversary.
The actress will first appear on the Friday, March 29 episode of the series.
